Willing to care for your fur-babies
Covid - 19 : vaccinated and looking forward to meeting everyone’s fur babies and four legged best friends again! If interested, your fur-babies could spend time with mine when you need it. Consider it a play date for your furry 4 legged children. I have always loved animals and consider them as family. They love us unconditionally and deserve the same in return. I’ve lived with and cared for my own pets for over 15 years in my personal life and I currently have 1 dog in my home. This does mean that for boarding and day care services in my home, your pet will need to be able to get along with other dogs. If you’d like me to bring him along for walking and check-in services, please let me know to bring him along for extra socializing and play for your pet. I have 15 years of personal experience in caring for cats and dogs. I love animals and sometimes even enjoy teaching them things, so let me know if your beloved pet is okay with treats and if they know any tricks yet. I’d enjoy reinforcing learned tasks and behaviors.

We love Heather taking care of our two kitties while we are out of town. She gives them love and attention and also feeds our strays that come around outside for us too! She checks everything out at the house and makes sure everything is taken care of. She is an awesome lady! ❤️😊

I am typically free and flexible to work around whatever schedule you need. Exceptions marked on my calendar availability but feel free to let me know if it’s an urgent situation and if possible I can try to adjust.

I am typically home and also have 1 laid back dog to also keep your loved pet company when they stay with me and am willing to bring him with if permitted to other services such as check-ins if your pet would enjoy that. At home my backyard is fenced to allow more freedom when outside. I allow dogs on my furniture but if informed can avoid that if they’re typically not allowed so not to contradict any training. I have a variety of toys for dogs and even a few for cats to enjoy during their stays with me. If they are crate trained it is preferable you bring their crate if the stay is more than a couple days but I do have 1 available during their stay when my own dog doesn’t need it himself. When checking in on your loved ones in your home, I ensure time to allow them a chance to potty and get some fresh air and then spend the last of the visit playing with or loving on your pet however they need in addition to any instructions given for their care during the time frame requested.

FUN - They will get the chance to run around and play with my own dog who absolutely loves making new friends! I also have a nice fenced in backyard and balls to play fetch with them. So I can let them run around outside when they want to and the weather is nice. Otherwise I have plenty of toys to play with inside. TOYS - I have balls, bones, kongs, a frisbee, and if your dog is not destructive, I also have plush toys available. You're welcome to bring toys for your pet during their stay. EXERCISE - I do live next to a nice long greenways trail which makes things easy. I am also happy to play fetch if your dog is staying with me and needs to burn off some energy and run around. I am disabled and need to note that I can only accept a limited number of walks per week. BATHING/GROOMING - For dogs staying with me, I am willing to give a bath and brush your pet for a small fee if you select that option when booking. I do not do hair cuts. I also will not trim claws for any animals who are afraid or have prior issues with it. LEARNING - I have experience in training my own pets. I am willing, if requested, to help your dog while they're with me. SPECIAL NEEDS - I have limited experience with special needs animals but am willing to learn if it's within my abilities. I have watched a blind dog before. I am however uncomfortable to do medications or shots at this time if your dog is resistant in any way but will consider on a case by case basis.
