Animal rescuer turned sitter!
Volunteering in animal shelters, fostering, and independent animal rescue work has given me years of experience in animal behavior and care. I live on a 7 acre rural homestead with lots of room to walk dogs. We do not have a fence so visiting dogs will always be on leash. I have a large room set aside as my petsitting room so that your pet can move around freely and we can have plenty of room to play and snuggle. My personal pets love other animals and are always up to date on vetting, so if they are compatible, they are more than welcome to romp and play with my fun crew! I currently work from home as a part time tutor and homesteader, so I am available to give your pets all the attention they need. Pet care is personalized. I will discuss your animals’ needs with you and we will determine what will work best for them in the way of living and sleeping arrangements. I’m very flexible and want what is best for your fur baby.

I have one rescue dog who is very timid and dog friendly. She sometimes comes with me when I dogsit and sometimes stays at home with my partner, just depending on the situation.

We love having our boy stay with Heather when we’re away. As soon as he sees her his tail starts wagging! She has a lot of experience with dogs and doesn’t mind giving him his meds. She even sends us pictures during his stay. We like knowing he’s safe, well taken care of, and happy.
My husband and I felt as if our dog was well taken care of. We will definitely ask for Heather again
Heather was a very gracious host to our two dogs. This was our first Rover.com experience. Traveling in our camper but wanted to get to New Orleans. Our dogs were safe and well cared for while we enjoyed NOLA. Heather is very convenient to Paul B Johnson state park and would recommend her services for others. We got back early enough that she allowed us to pick our dogs up before boarding the second night. We appreciated the flexibility.
Awesome sitter! This was Gigi’s 1st time boarding with a group of dogs. She didn’t adjust as well as I hoped she would? Heather was very patient with her and gradually worked with her with her anxiety and territorial aggression. I love the fact that she didn’t give up on her and gave her the space she needed. I will definitely use her and I recommend her as well! Thanks Heather, Wilma, Brutus and baby Daisy ?

Planning
Pet care is already a staple in my daily life. I'm a nurturer by nature. I often drive transports with 40+ dogs and cats cross country to their adopters and have to care for them all!
