Pet care experience
I am an attentive and caring past owner of well behaved dogs. I had my best dog friend of 11 years and my Rover business partner Peabody pass away recently. After taking some time of to grieve, I am ready to get back into the excitement of living with animals again. I live tucked back into state land in an off-grid cabin. I have experience with many different sizes and types of dogs. I have worked as a dog trainer and I can easily walk and manage all sizes of dogs. I am always up for a challenge. I have cared for special needs animals in the past. In my home with my own dogs, I liked to encourage a calm environment and carry that goal into any pet-sitting job. I prioritize walks and I love spending time outdoors with the dogs. I also offer cat sitting in your home and love getting to know the cats. I am home during the week and am pretty flexible overall. I have reliable transportation. I am a friendly person and enjoy helping people. I love meeting new dogs and cats and would love to meet yours! We are a LGBTQ friendly home and are accepting of all races and nationalities.

Heather is passionate about your dogs’ health and happiness. My puppy and I were always greeted with a smile of pure excitement. This was my first time using the app and she was helpful and very responsive. She sent updates of my pup while I was at work; which I absolutely loved! I appreciate that she was also very flexible on schedule and drop off/pick up times.
It was obvious from the start that Jackson (my 8-pound chihuahua) was going to be in great hands! Heather and Rich were very careful with the introductions, taking the time to get all the dogs off on the right foot by introducing them gradually with treats and praise. They were clearly very experienced when it comes to small dog care, and I got plenty of pictures of Jackson burrowing into various sweatshirts and such to stay warm (hey, that's what he does). My dog really seemed to be at home with the other members of the pack and their household routine. Even though I normally feel nervous about leaving him, I would actually feel really good about dropping Jackson over at their house for another dog vacation!
Heather is super responsible, trustworthy and a great help, she has helped me with a walk on short notice
Heather is professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. She is brilliant with my rescue dog, who is behaviorally challenged and quite a handful on the leash She has already made a difference.

A typical day
I wake early and walk first thing. I live right by the river so I will leash the dogs and head down to visit the water. I like to do 2 40 min to an hour walks a day. Sometimes a midday walk is needed as well. I have plenty of land to do leash walks with the dogs but sometimes will load them up into the car to do a walk at another location. I like to stay active and see lots of different environments. I love to stimulate with indoor playtimes as well. I have a whole box of toys!
