Hi, I’m Heather. Thank you for considering me to care for your amazing pet. Having been a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of finding the right person to care for your furry family member. I currently do not have pets in the home having recently lost my beloved Ky - a 14 year old collie mix rescue and my best bud. I had the privilege of caring for my sweet boy during his senior years and have experience with medication administration, dressing changes and arthritis support. I am a nurse by profession and these skills came in handy when caring for Ky. I have so much more love to share with animals and am excited for an opportunity to give your pet the same level of care and love that I did with Ky. I have experience with animals ever since childhood. Over the years we had cats, a dog, guinea pigs and even supported the rehabilitation of squirrels and a robin. I love all animals but have a special place in my heart for dogs and cats - particularly rescues. There is nothing more fulfilling than giving an animal the loving and safe home they have always deserved. Rescues sometimes come with ‘challenging behaviours’ which I view as opportunities to build trust, safety and connection with that pet.

Heather by far is the best pet sitter we have ever encountered. Communication up to and through my baby’s(Dog) stay was simply amazing. Not only did she take the time to learn about our dog’s needs, she really took him in as family. We received multiple daily pictures and videos, of adventures Pablo had while in her care. Parks, play time, walks, food, and cuddles, I feel my dog had a vacation of his own. What caught me by surprise is Pablo never cuddles with anyone other than me, and my wife, so for him to cuddle up with her is a testament of how well he was cared for. Heather will be our go to moving forward for any pet sitting needs, cannot think of anyone else ever caring for our dog but her and her lovely family.
Heather was great at excepting my last minute booking, keeping Jax nice and cool on a hot summer day He seemed right at ease in her home Thanks for taking such wonderful care of him this Canada Day!
Heather and family were absolutely WONDERFUL with our boy, Murphy! We received regular updates and pictures/videos and it seems that Murphy had such an amazing time. He didn’t even seem to want to leave Heather when we came to pick him up! He was clearly treated like he was one of their own and we will most definitely have Heather look after our pooches again!

Schedule
I work from home three times per week and have flexible lunch and break times to accommodate long walks, pee breaks and play time! For those heat sensitive pups - early morning or late evening walks are a must and will be accommodated!

I have a private side yard and access to nearby parks and trails. I am active and can offer your pet anything from quiet strolls on local side streets to leashed runs on our beautiful Brooklin path system or local trails. I have experience feeding raw for those pets on a raw diet. I also have a keen sense to keep food put away thanks to my sneaky Ky. Bring on the counter surfers! I look forward to learning more about your pet and how I can best tailor my care to their unique personality and needs. My goal is to not only provide your pet with a great experience but also provide you with the peace of mind knowing your loved one is well looked after. Thank you for considering me!
A typical day
I believe pets are happiest when they are loved and safe but also stimulated and active. A typical day will include exercise tailored to your pets needs and of course lots of cuddles!

- The more I know about the unique needs of your pet, the better! Please let me know what a typical day at your house looks like and I will do my best to align with that. A similar routine will assist in providing your pet with that familiarity they are used to at home. If your pet tends to react to other dogs, people, children, etc. that is helpful to know in advance so walks can be tailored as needed.
