Heather is an exceptionally caring person who will take great care of your pets. She has a lot of love to offer every animal she encounters and you can be rest assured that you will return to a pet that is both very happy and very healthy. Cannot recommend her enough- she is truly an excellent person to leave in charge of the pets you care so much about.

Heather has been our go to pet sitter for 6 years. At first our two cats while on vacations. And now our dog. She is great with them and they love her. Our dog is always so happy to see her. I never have to worry about our pets while we are gone. She diligently follows our house “rules” for the animals as well!

Heather was great with my pup! We've now used her for walks, pop-in visits, and overnight care during vacations. Very comfortable with my dog and home when she's taking care of things, and my dog is thrilled to see her :)

Love caring for other's fur-babies.

I grew up with 3 cats and 2 dogs. I have cleaned up vomit, pee, poop - anything and everything. That does not bother me. Most of all, I LOVE getting to spend time with the puppers and kitties. My husband is allergic so we can't have any of our own. Besides growing up with pets in the house since I was 7 until I was 23, I have been pet and house sitting for the ...

What Heather would like to know about your dog

I have no breed preferences. What I'd like to know before caring for your dog(s) is the following: medications (doses, how often, how to give), diet (food portions, when are feeding times, human food allowed/not allowed, treats and times/why they receive their treats), allowed/not allowed on furniture, sleep schedule, attitude around other animals/humans, potty break schedule (and what their "tell" is that they need to go out), and what type of play/exercise/interaction they are used to in their normal routine.

Additional Skills
Oral Medication Administration
Senior Dog Experience
Injected Medication Administration
Can provide daily exercise

When Heather watches your pet

I will take your dog(s) on walks around the neighborhood. Laderman Park is also an option - it's a great trail if your dog doesn't mind other people or animals (if they do, we won't go there). If you have a backyard we'll play fetch or tug-of-war with a rope toy. Whatever your pup likes to do, I will do. My friend's pup (2yr old mutt) loves to wrestle. She nips (as pups will do), but when I tell her to stop, she does. If not, I stand up and walk away. This has worked with her and the pups I grew up with. If there are any other activities you would like me to do, just let me know! The only thing I cannot do is run with your dog - my knees aren't what they used to be, haha; however, I can do up to a 5 mile walk if that's what they need. If you have a cat, I have a great lap for napping. I will interact with the kitty as much as he/she will allow.
