My own shy dog has opened my eyes about the need for fear-free care. I have spent a lot of time learning about behavior and strategies to help keep dogs happy and safe. I love all dogs and going for walks. I would be happy to give your dogs the care and attention they deserve.

Safety, trust & environment
I use harnesses with a safety strap to a collar for my own reactive/escape artist dog. We walk only in safe environments, where the dog feels comfortable. I recognize when a dog feels stressed or uncomfortable, and aim to keep every experience positive.

Heather was wonderful with my cats! She provided excellent updates and pictures. She made sure that one cat always got to play with her favorite toy. My other cat is very shy. In the past, the sitters haven’t been able to get her to come out at all, and Heather had her feeling comfortable after a couple of days! We will always try to use her when we travel.
Heather does a wonderful job every time she walks my dog. This last time there was a storm and my dog was afraid to go out. Heather calmed my dog and waited patiently until he was willing to go out. She kept me informed the whole time; and even after I told her to leave and I would make other arrangements, she still stayed until my dog would go out.
We had Heather do drop-in visits for our cat Tobi. Tobi was so happy to see her and always greeted her at the door. She was so very thorough with the care Tobi received. Made us feel good, knowing our sweet Tobi was happy. Would highly recommend Heather.
As always, Heather is amazing with the boys! We’re happy to have her back again soon. 😊

Schedule
Available mornings and evenings (before and after work). I work from home with some flexibility, so I can provide limited lunchtime-midday if requested. Complete availability on weekends.
