💕🐕 Doggy-nurse & BFF while away

Imagine Mary Poppins and Cesar Milan (dog whisperer) had a love child...that's me! I've been loving and caring for animals from birth to the rainbow bridge for over 35 years. My relationship with animals is intuitive, organic, and informed. As a pet sitter, what sets me apart from others is my PASSION in providing care for animals with special needs. I have extensive training and experience in caring for puppies, seniors, and pets with medical conditions. I prioritize the individual needs of each pet in my care, providing tailored attention and ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times. With me, you can rest assured that your beloved furry friend will receive the highest level of care and attention they deserve. I know CPR, am comfortable giving shots, know how to administer rectal medication and can save your pet’s life if necessary.

Heather did a great job caring for both my boys. They seemed comfortable and at ease with her (which was a huge concern of mine) and she was well aware of the importance of daily medication (another comfort). She even picked up toys for them during their stay! Absolutely appreciate her generosity, flexibility, and care of them while I was out of town.

Heather was a God send! She answered the call last minute after another sitter canceled on us as we arrived at their house. We appreciate the exceptional love and care that she provided to our boy. Heather owns a lovely home with a big yard for your pooch to run in, and she accurately follows the instructions given in regard to your dog. Heather clearly loves animals and she is both friendly and respectful with owners. Thank you, Heather.

Schedule

I'm retired. My time is devoted to loving on dogs. I don't allow more than 2 dog clients at a time in my home. The house is big enough to separate dogs, but typically there is only 1 dog at a time so that they get one on one full time attention. I will play and care for them as if they are my own flesh and blood. I never leave for more than 2 hours at a time to run to the doctor, grocery store, Walmart etc.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a very large fenced in yard and a senior dog to keep your pet company. It is sunny on one side, which is a great place to play and on the other side it is shady. My home sits on approxiately 2 acres. They are more than welcome to lay on the furniture and especially my bed - that is if you allow that in your own home. My home is crate & kennel-free. So your doggie will roam free in the house and yard. Now, you can bring your own crate if your pup is used to sleeping in it or needs to be crated on the rare occasion I leave the house.

Pets

A typical day

Walks, ball play, water play, one on one attention, cuddles, treat time, indoor brain games, indoor activities to avoid boredom on hot summer days. Confessional: Shhh, no one knows this but I love getting to know your pet's personality and give them voices or talk to them in my "Disney Pet voice". Makes bonding and trust stronger with me and your baby.

I absolutely follow your instructions, most importantly I strive to maintain your dog’s normsl routine which minimizes their stress. I have a short, but vital questionnaire precisely to get familiar to your pet’s feeding schedule, potty times, likes/dislikes, sleeping preferences, guidelines to follow, and their typical personality. I grew up with 5 rescue dogs in the house at all times and have continued rescuing elderly and special needs dogs on my own.
