Dog Sitting from a Dog Lover
UPDATE as of May 2026: We took a break from dog sitting because we brought home our own puppy, Robin! Robin is a friendly but shy dachshund. We are back to dog sitting, but can now only accept dogs who get along well with other dogs. Hi there! My name is Heather and I am passionate about caring for animals. My partner and I have flexible schedules that allow us to work from home. I have years of experience caring for animals; I have fostered seven dogs, adopted one, and recently brought home a dachshund puppy. We love to provide a calming home away from home for pets! I walk or jog around 2 miles daily and would love to take your pet along with me, depending on their individual needs and owner preferences. As a dog owner, I know how important it is for peace of mind to receive daily updates and while away! I will always communicate quickly and provide pictures so you know your pet is enjoying their stay.

Our 5.5 month old dachshund pup had a great time during a long daycare visit. He got along great with Robin and was soooo tired when we picked him up. Heather provided great updates with photos during his stay. We will definitely be in touch for future visits.

There is no way I could say enough about what a fantastic job Heather and her husband did taking care of my dog Ava for a month. It was clear from our first meeting with Heather that Ava would be completely safe, cared for, and loved, and that's exactly what happened. Just like she said she would, Heather sent pictures and notes every day, and it was clear that she was seeing the charming side of Ava and really enjoying her - not just hosting her. Ava got multiple walks every day and Heather brushed her teeth too. Heather reached out with a few small questions here and there that showed she was really paying attention to my dog and making sure she was OK. For example, I forgot to tell Heather that Ava licks her feet a lot, and Heather reached out to ask me about it. Communication was super, pickup and drop off were easy and flexible. My biggest worry was that Ava would not want to come home! Thanks so much Heather it was awesome knowing that Ava was having such a great time!
Heather took wonderful care of Ally! She was easy to communicate with and sent great pics :)
Lola loved Heather! I got so many photos and videos from her as well as updates with how Lola was doing. It really made me feel like Lola was loved and cared for. Heather is the best!

Schedule
My schedule is flexible for boarding. My partner and I can arrange our work from home schedules while boarding to ensure your pet is never alone for a whole work day.

When I care for pets, I am very careful to follow the owners instructions for feeding, medication, and exercise preferences because that’s what I look for in a sitter for my own dog!

A typical day
My neighborhood is great for walking, I am less than a mile from Golden Gate Park and the beach! I am also very close to the GGP dog park. My dog loved our daily walks to this park, although I would never take a dog to a dog park without the owners approval. There are many ways to enjoy the beautiful Outer Richmond and I'm happy to find the right routine for your pet!
