Adventures in pet sitting 🐾
I love animals! It’s fun for me to get to meet your pet. I happily take care of dogs 25lbs and up. I have 3 dogs of my own. The youngest is playful and fun. The other two get along well with other dogs but are older. I can drop in on cats at your house. I work part time both at home and in an office. This is a part time addition to my life because I love to get to meet new pet friends and their parents. As a young child my first pet was a guinea pig named whiskers. You’ll see a pic of him and me in the photos. My family also had a dog named Pepsi who I loved playing with. In college, I got my first dog on my own. She was an Australian cattle dog / german shepard mix. She was strong willed and high energy like any blue heeler and she taught me a ton about caring for a pet. Before starting with Rover, I had helped friends watch their cats and dogs while they were on trips. We have a 5 year old shih poo, a 14 year old standard schnauzer and a 1.5 year old border collie mix. I’m familiar with high energy, intensity animals and those who need a slower pace. I’m interested in helping care for dogs in our home or cats in your home if it’s near where we live.

My dog had a lot of fun with Heather’s other dogs and it was an easy process :) I would definitely let my pup stay with her again!
My dog Sunny has stayed with Heather and her family many times and always comes home happy and healthy.
Heather took great care of Moose while we were on vacation. She sent daily updates and made sure he got his daily walk. They accommodated his need to be fed away from the other dogs & he loved playing in their backyard. She let us come in advance for a meet & greet which we appreciated.
Olive had a great time at Heather’s place! Thank you to her and her family for taking care of her while we were away
Good communication with pictures sent throughout his stay. Stanley seemed happy with his stay and having her dogs as playmates.
Heather was great! The meet and greet was easy. Her response time was quick. I appreciated the fact that she sent pictures of my Nova girl having fun.

Schedule
I have a job that has a flexible schedule. I work some days all at home and others in an office. If your dog is active we will include them on walks and we have a split rail fence in our back yard.

Safety, trust & environment
Pets can have roaming privileges around the house or be in a crate if that brings them comfort. Our dogs sleep in the bedroom with us mostly in their beds but occasionally on the human beds with us. We take regular walks and pets can go outside frequently. I will treat your pet to a fun stay at our house and send them home with you happy :)

A typical day
On days I’m working at home pets can hang out with me and my dogs. On a day I work at the office they would not be alone longer than 3-4 hours. If your dog needs more frequent breaks let me know and I will work to accommodate those needs.
