My volunteer activities include transporting rescue dogs, fostering, screening adoption applications, and dog walking. I have undergone professional dog walking training with the Connecticut Humane Society and have experience handling dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments. As the owner of two dogs (an American Pitbull Terrier and an American Staffordshire Terrier), I know the importance of regular exercise and finding the right caretaker. My expertise in dog behavior, body language, and breed-specific needs ensures that your pet will receive the best care possible. I am skilled in managing strong, active, and needy dogs, and I have experience with special needs pets, including those requiring medication or special attention. I do not care for other peoples pets in my own home. When watching your dog or cat in your home I will treat them how I would my own. I pay close attention to each individual pets needs and am sure to respect the owners wishes at all times.

Heather has pet sat for us on multiple occasions. She’s very friendly, communicative, and kind. She went above and beyond for our dogs every time she came to check up on our dogs. She followed instructions well, took and sent photos/videos, and just loved our dogs like they were her own. She is very honest and hardworking. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a pet/house sitter.
Heather took my sharpie mix who is a bit naughty and likes to smell and pull for an hour walk and made his day. His size and appearance can scare some people but she wasn’t concerned at all. She also took my lab mix for a ride in her car to a local rail trail and walked him for an hour. They are happy and tired ! They loved their experience and she was friendly and calm and excellent with my dogs!
Joe had such a fun walk!! Heather was communicative and walked him for over two miles! He was so relaxed and happy since coming back. Thank you Heather!!
Heather is the only person I would ever trust to care for my senior dog! I am always able to enjoy my time away knowing that he’s in the best hands. My dog requires medications with feedings which Heather handles seamlessly. Heather is always willing to visit as many times as you feel comfortable with. She keeps me updated with plenty of pictures and my dog loves her! Highly recommend booking with Heather for peace of mind and top notch pet care.
