I work a hybrid working pattern which means that I am able to work from home part of the week. This means I will be able to look after, play with, and get some extra steps in with furry friends. I am available, particularly at the weekends, for boarding services. I have recently moved into my first home and I live alone which means I will be able to give your furry friends lots and lots of attention!

I have a fenced back garden and there are lots of pathways and grassy areas nearby for your furry friends to sniff and do their business! I have sufficient space to accommodate your pets crate, if this is their safe place, and best for them to bring with them.

Please let me know if your dog has any behaviours or reactiveness which I should be aware of. I would appreciate if you can let me know how your dog is when travelling in a car too! My preference is for hypoallergenic breeds that don’t shed!
A typical day
We will explore exciting and interesting walks as well as exploring the local scents around the neighbourhood. I am always willing to play a game of tuck a war, embrace the squeaky toys, quacking duck toys and oinking pig toys! As well as throw a ball as many times as your dog pleases! After lots of steps and play, it will be time for a cuddle and nap!

Pet care experience
I have loved dogs all of my life but unfortunately the time was never right to have one of my own. My love for dogs only grew when my parents decided to get a puppy, Angus, in my early 20s whilst I was still living at home due to being a full time student. Angus’ mum is a working springer spaniel and his dad a miniature poodle which makes him a sproodle! Think high energy, super friendly and fluffy! I trained Angus as a puppy and took him to puppy classes, socialising and walking groups. I continue to support my parents to develop Angus’ training, particularly when out walking as Angus loves to chase leaves! My friends have relied on me in the past to look after and walk their dogs which I have always been grateful to help with! I have also supported a family member to re-home a rescue dog. I have experience administering weekly ear drops as prescribed by vets.

Heather was great, Ollie was really nervous to start with but she took time with him and he was relaxed and happy by the time I picked him up. Was able to accommodate me on short notice and very clearly a dog lover that knows how to make them comfortable. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or use her again. Lorna
Your dog will love Heather’s company as much as ours. She loves walking so your dog will get plenty of excercise followed by being made to feel at home in her house. Heather takes all your dogs needs and wishes into consideration and keeps us updated with photos whilst away. I have no hesitation in recommending her to look after your dog.
Can’t recommend Heather enough :) my dog loves going to stay with her and always comes back shattered from his big walks. She sticks to his routines and only feeds him good quality treats
Heather is reliable, responsible and loves looking after our dog Angus. She is very friendly, enjoys taking Angus for fantastic walks and he loves her attention and cuddles! She often sends us updates and photos of Angus’ day and we trust her completely to care for him.
