Family home for your fur baby!
Welcome to our family! We are a family of three with a 6 year old child, and we’re excited to open our home to dogs who need a safe, loving place to stay. We have always loved dogs and recently said goodbye to our beloved 14 year old cocker spaniel. He was a very special part of our family, and caring for him through his senior years gave us valuable experience with older dogs and extensive medical needs. We’re comfortable giving medications, following special routines, and providing the extra patience and care that senior or medically compromised dogs may need. Our home is warm, family-oriented, and full of love for dogs. We understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, and we’ll do our best to make your baby feel at home while you’re away. We’d love the opportunity to get to know your dog and give them the same kind of care and attention we gave our own. The dogs we welcome into our home must have exposure to children on a regular basis. Although our child is excellent with dogs, we want to be sure we are getting dogs who are used to children. We’d love to have a meet and greet first when possible. This way your dog can get to know us before drop off.

Sometimes you find a host, and sometimes you truly find a second home for your dog. Heather and Pieters’ is the latter. In fact I’d say much more than a home. They are hands down, one of the most truly loving and caring family for any pet and I’m so glad Ollie got to experience their unadulterated love and care over the weekend. They genuinely are interested in both the physical and mental well being of your dog and want to ensure that they can do whatever they can to make sure that your furball does not feel out of place one bit. As a pet parent, the most important feeling that you want to feel when you get into your car after leaving your dog at a host’s home is a feeling of security, and their place is more than what you can ever ask for.
Heather and Pieter were the best with Arya! She had such a good time at their home. She played with their son and received lots of cuddles. We would definitely ask them to take care of Arya anytime in the future. Heather and Pieter are such nice people and I can tell they love dogs and take really good care of them!
Olie had a wonderful time with Heather and family. He was well taken care of and even came home with a favourite new toy
I couldn’t recommend Heather more highly! Heather watched my dog Lucy for a few days and I felt completely comfortable knowing my dog was in her care. She was attentive, caring, responsible, and kept me updated while I was away. Lucy was happy, comfortable, and clearly very well loved while staying with her and her family. It’s obvious that Heather genuinely loves dogs and treats them like family. I would absolutely trust her with my dog again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and loving dog sitter! ❤️🐾
If you are looking for a friendly, energetic and reliable dog walker who will love your fur family member as much as you, then Heather is the person for you! Heather loves dogs of all breeds and sizes. She is a playful, energetic, friendly, and incredibly loving person. Our dog Mabel is a large breed Bernedoodle with lots of energy and personality and Mabel absolutely loves the time she gets to spend with Heather. Heather has a passion for the outdoors and enjoys sharing that love with the dogs in her care. Heather treats every dog as if they were her own, and her genuine compassion and enthusiasm for animals shines through in everything she does. You can feel confident knowing your fur family member is not only getting exercise and fresh air, but also feeling safe, happy, loved, and cared for. Schedule
For all weekends, summer (July & August), and Christmas break, your dog will not be alone. Otherwise, during the week if your dog is used to being at home for the work day (8 hours), that will work for us as well. We would walk them before and after work plus be with them all evening.

We will offer care in our home. We can provide daily communication, photos and updates at your request. As we said earlier, we also are comfortable administering medication if needed.
A typical day
We have a park in our backyard that is not busy and tons of fun for dogs! We also have a very dog friendly neighborhood for lots of walks. We love to play in the home too so we are open to whatever the dog enjoys.
