Heather can care for
Availability
I do work full time, but I’m close enough to my job that I can come home during lunch breaks to let doggos outside if needed. I have plenty of time outside of work to go on walks or even take them to the dog park.

I will keep your pets on leash at all times when I’m outside with them, unless they are in a fenced in area like a dog park. If they have specific meal times and walk times I’ll do my best to make sure they happen on time. I keep anything dangerous to dogs (cleaning supplies, food, trash, etc.) completely out of reach. If I need to adjust where things are kept to ensure a safe environment I will do so immediately.
Information Heather P. would like to know about your pet
If there are any special needs I need to be aware of, such as diabetes, epilepsy, incontinence, etc., just let me know so I can be prepared. I’d also like to know any behavior concerns such as barking, growling, chewing on things other than their toys, aggression towards other dogs (especially since I have a dog of my own), etc. I just want to make both the owner and the pet happy and comfortable so I can provide the best care possible. I also need to make sure I have contact info for a vet just in case there’s an emergency. Otherwise, I’d need the ok to go to any vet in the area that’s open. If there is an emergency I will try to contact you first before going to any vet.
A typical day
Pretty much anything that the dog likes to do and that the owners approve of. Daily walks are a must have for sure, with lots of playtime and cuddles during the day. If the owner is ok with longer walks, mini hikes in the mountains, or a visit to the dog park, I would love to do that, but only with permission.

Pet care experience
I’ve had pets for almost my entire life. When I was born my parents had a German Shepherd, but we had to find a new family her later on because we were moving to London and couldn’t take her across seas. We moved back to Utah when I was 4 and got a dog shortly afterwards. I’ve had pets ever since then, mostly dogs and reptiles. Years before I joined River I’ve been a pet sitter for several friends and family members, whether it’s staying at their place for several days with their pets, bringing them to my house, or just checking in on them every few hours, and have never had any issues doing it. While I’ve never had a cat as a pet, mostly due to my dad having a severe allergy to them, I’ve sat for several cats as well, not just dogs. I’ve even checked in on reptiles and birds when friends needed me to. To me, pets are more than just animals, they are part of the family and deserve to be treated as such. I have a dog of my own. Her name is Nova and she’s a big sweetheart! She absolutely loves people and while she does get along with most dogs, sometimes she gets a little overwhelmed and needs space. My current living situation is such that I’m able to leave Nova at home with people who can care for her, so being able to house sit for your pets is not a problem at all!
Reviews

Heather is an amazing sitter! She is a kind and genuine person. She took amazing care of our cat, and even drove her to the vet when she got sick. I strongly recommend her for anyone in need of a sitter.

Heather was amazing! We contacted her last minute, and she helped us out. We are very appreciative!
Heather is absolutely amazing! She took care of the animals who love her. They're healthy and happy and knowing she was at the house was such a relief. Great contact from her and super friendly. Highly recommend her!

Excellent! I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation knowing that all my puppers were taken care of. I will be using Heather again for sure!!
