Availability

🐾 Since I’m home a majority of the time, I’m able to provide very regular potty breaks and lots of time outside to roam in the backyard. We play plenty of fetch, tug of war, etc. 🦮 I love to walk the pups in my care if that’s something they enjoy, so just let me know. 🐕 My son absolutely loves helping take care of all of the dogs we board when he is here in the evenings. We would love to welcome your dog to our home and treat him or her like family!

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fully fenced in yard and plenty of toys for your pup to pick from if they’d like. I love a good game of fetch or tug of war and can keep your pet well entertained. I regularly take 1-3 mile walks and feel comfortable walking even if it’s chilly outside. In our down time, your pet can expect snuggles, pets, and to rest comfortably on the couch or dog bed.

Information Heather O. would like to know about your pet

Please feel free to bring along any bed or toys if that helps make your pup feel more at home. I have experience with food aggressive dogs, but do need to know ahead of time so that I can plan accordingly for mealtimes. I want to ensure that your dog will be content at my home for short periods of time (i.e, 1-4 hours). While I am home a majority of the time, I do occasionally have to run errands and tend to other dogs walking clients, etc. I am ok leaving dogs loose when I leave the house and don’t require that they are crate trained. However, I do have a crate and am happy to crate your dog if that’s what they are used to and comfortable with. For drop ins visits, I like to make sure that I have all instructions ahead of time so that I’m ready to devote my attention to your pet.

A typical day

We play plenty of tug of war and fetch, take plenty of walks around my quiet neighborhood, and get in lots of sniffs in the backyard!

Caring, experienced pet lover 🐾

Pet care experience

I’ve a had and loved pets my whole life, and have cared for dogs ranging from a docile miniature schnauzer to the most rambunctious, sweet and loving Weimaraner. I’d love to make your dog feel right at home in my home while you’re away, or check in on them in yours! I currently work from home running a small business and have a flexible schedule. The Weimaraner, Maci, in my profile is with me part time, typically more in the summer months. I have a large back yard for pups to run in, basic puppy training skills, and lots of experience taking walks with easily distracted pups. For drop in visits, I am a calm presence so your pet doesn’t feel overwhelmed or uneasy. I’m happy to follow all instructions for feeding and outside time, and also love to take my drop in pups on walks if you’d like me to.

Heather took care of my 3 year old Beagle who has epilepsy and takes 5 pills per day. She watched Maya for an entire week while we were out of state. Everything went perfectly. No seizures, no problems. We were updated with pics and a daily report of how Maya was doing. We knew Maya was well cared for and on her own little vacation while we were away. We definitely recommend Heather and will be returning customers.

We had a wonderful experience with our dog sitter Heather while we were away on vacation. She took excellent care of our dog and gave us peace of mind knowing our pet was in such capable and caring hands. We especially appreciated the thoughtful photo updates she sent, which made us smile and helped us feel connected while we were away. It was clear she genuinely cared about our dog's happiness and well-being during each visit. We would gladly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and trustworthy pet sitter.

Heather took great care of our girl, Ella, while we were away for a week! She sent daily updates and lots of photos. Heather was very responsive and accommodating and when our flight home was delayed!

Heathers been letting maisie out for about a year now and has always been reliable and maisie loves her. When my parents and I went out of town she was more than willing to also watch their dog as well. She is very trustworthy, reliable, goes above and beyond and always treats our doggies well
