We have a fenced yard with a doggy door so guests can go in and out at any time at their leisure. Baxter is a mellow older guy but still likes to play and will keep your pet company while at our house. I’ll send you pictures and updates throughout your stay to keep you up to date on our activities!

We only accept non-shedding dogs but will take guest dogs of all sizes and ages. We only accept up to 2 dogs at any given time.
A typical day
I love talking neighborhood walks and urban hikes on the Eucalyptus Grove and Batiquitos Lagoon trails. We also like visiting the Poinsettia Park dog park and simple movie nights on the couch with the doggos.

Hello, my name is Heather and I live in Carlsbad with my husband, Vince, and our dog, Baxter, a 14 year old, 25lb Cockapoo. We love all dogs but we only accept non-shedding pets at this time.

Heather is absolutely wonderful! We’re so grateful we found her. My old man, Murphy, was welcomed like family and so clearly loved in their home. I really appreciated the dependable daily updates with pictures of him enjoying the couch, toys and walks. Our resort wasn’t pet-friendly, and I’m so thankful Murphy could stay in a warm, loving home instead of a kennel. We’ll definitely book with Heather again the next time we’re in the area. Thank you for everything! Highly recommend.
I could not recommend Heather enough!!! Heather and her husband Vince always take such great care of my fur baby! They are my go to every time I need to go out of town.
Very sweet and super accommodating, especially considering we booked her super last minute and couldn’t even stay in contact with her properly. Would definitely trust our pup with her again. He was super comfortable and came back loved and pampered.
