Looking to make new furry friends
Dogs have always been apart of our family life. Jim and I would agree that it is a good day when we make a new four legged friend. As a pack leader, I focus on helping dogs feel safe, to know their boundaries and to have polite behavior. My hope is that our guests will have freedom to explore and not feel the stress of being in a new environment but rather have confidence to run themselves right into a good nights sleep. Our little Yorkies, Dash and Diva, are always excited to welcome a new friend onto our Funny Farm. We have a fully fenced property that allows playing ball, exploring, chasing, barking and "marking" a very large area. As the pack leader I do believe that dogs do better when they have a space of their own, so we offer a separate large kennel for each of them. I use the kennel for overnight sleeping, feeding or if I have to leave the Funny Farm an extended amount of time.

GG’s funny farm was amazing as always! I forgot to provide a slow feeder bowl, but luckily Heather had an extra one that Nova could use during her stay. Nova got lots of exercise and had a ton of fun. I also appreciate how organized and clean the dogs’ space is! I always feel great leaving Nova here because it’s like her home away from home 😊
Heather and her husband Jim own and operate Gigi’s Funny Farm in Catlett and are loving, caring sitters. It’s like a doggie nirvana with acres of land for your furry family to run and play and a cozy indoor rest and sleep area. I was apprehensive to leave my newly adopted pup, Josie anywhere because of her issues. Let’s just say Josie is “special” lol. Heather handled her problem behaviors beautifully. She has tons of experience and handled my problem child ha, ha with love and care. When we picked her up, she didn’t want to leave 😆. I wholeheartedly recommend you leave your furry family with her 💕
and provided exceptional care. From giving them plenty of exercise and prioritizing quiet time to ensuring one of my dogs received his daily medication, she did an excellent job. She sent daily photos, which gave me peace of mind. She treated them like family, and I couldn’t have asked for more. I highly recommend her, and I will absolutely use her again in the future.
Heather and her husband were absolutely amazing! They have a beautiful property that any dog would love. Plenty of space to run around and play. She was so friendly and caring towards our dog Nova. A great communicator and extremely organized! We would love for Nova to stay at GG’s Funny Farm again and will definitely be re-booking. 😊
My 2 dogs had so much fun running around her property that they didn't want to leave.

Schedule
My husband and I work at home and have the ability to hang out with our guests throughout most of the day. Our routine allows a lot of play time, running time, exploring time.

Safety, trust & environment
At the GG's Funny Farm we have 1.5 acre yard that is used as the main area to potty, play and run. Beyond that boundary we also have another acre that is fully fenced, 5 foot fence, with water and hills and trials to explore. There is always access to fresh water and shade for the hard playing pooch.
Pets
A typical day
At the Funny Farm we are up early, because our rooster starts calling us out at 5 am, so our guests are able to go our for their first potty break at the crack of dawn. Throughout the day we are working on different chores that need attention on a farm, so the dogs have hours of freedom. It is important to have rest so we also put the dogs on a schedule so that they can be quiet and not get over heated or stressed from too much fun.
