Availability

I work full-time during the school year but I have the summers off with plenty of free time to spend cuddling with some cats. I’d love to do dog sitting as well but am not sure I can commit to overnights as I have my own two dogs at home who need me but I’m open for daily support such as walks or feeding during the owners’ work hours.

Safety, trust & environment

My dogs use a long lead out back and aren’t left unsupervised for long. When my cat was alive he had his own separate space away from the dogs as well as easier access to food, water and litter as he was arthritic.

A typical day

Taking dogs for walks so they can smell, get some mental stimulation and get their energy out. For kitties, making sure they’re played with, cuddled if they like it and have everything they need.

Pet care experience

When I was growing up my family always had dogs and cats. I have two dogs of my own (I have a senior shepherd mix and a 1.5 year old lab mix) as well as a cat. I work with middle school students during the school year and would love to spend my summer taking care of animals. My dogs are my priority so I can’t commit to overnights but with my days free this summer I would love to do some dog walking, house sitting and cat sitting.

Heather is a very competent person. She has two dogs that she walks faithfully. She takes very good of them and would be an excellent dog walker.Phyllis
