Availability
I work full time, remotely from home. I do have occasional travel for work, but will make myself unavailable for any dates I will be traveling. I am up in the mornings around 6:00, am in and out of virtual work meetings typically between 7-3, and then spend afternoons doing catchup/emails. My dogs have run of the house and access to the fenced yard during the day. During my breaks I play with them, take them for a brief walk (time permitting) and make pup cups as an afternoon treat for them to enjoy. On Mondays and Thursdays I have an afternoon riding lesson in San Juan Capistrano and am typically gone from 1:15 PM - 3:45 PM. While I’m gone from the house my dogs are always crated. I do have an extra large and medium sized crate available for any dogs staying for Daycare or Overnight.

I have two dogs. Frankie is a rescue I adopted as a 10 week old puppy in 2017 and is a Chihuahua/King Cavalier cross. Avi is a Whoodle who turned 1 in August 2025. I live in a single family, one story home with a fenced yard. There are two dog doors, so the pups can have access to go outside on their own. Both of my dogs are crate trained, and when I am not home they are in their crate. The dog crates are in my master bedroom which also serves as my office. I have an extra crate available which is also in the master bedroom. Our dogs are allowed on the furniture, and have lots of toys available always. Some nights the pups sleep on the bed with me, and some nights they sleep in their crate. I am open to discussing if your dog is not crate trained.

Information Heather L. would like to know about your pet
I would love to know about any special requirements or routines for your pup. Making sure their routine stays as close as possible to what they are used to is important to them feeling comfortable and enjoying their stay.
A typical day
I have lots of toys and a large yard. Between meetings I play with the dogs in the yard, or do a few minutes of obedience training. When I’m not interacting with the dogs they are typically napping in one of the many dog beds around the house, or outside watching the birds on the feeder. We typically do a short walk once or twice a day.

Pet care experience
I grew up having many pets including dogs. I currently have two dogs, Frankie (8/ rescue) and Avi (18 months). I am also a competitive equestrian and have my horse in San Juan. Over the past 15 years I have experience with adopting rescues, having a puppy, going through obedience training and therapy dog certification. I have had two of my rescue pups grow older and managed their geriatric and ultimately, hospice care. With my horse and my dogs I am very attentive to their diet/nutrition and overall routine. Spending time to give them love and attention, and noticing when something just feels “off”. I do occasionally travel for work, so I understand how important it is to have the right person taking care of your pups when you’re gone. I look forward to connecting with you and hearing more about your fur baby!
Reviews

Coco had a blast! I can tell Heather is very knowledgeable about dogs and I feel so confident leaving Coco, who has food allergies, under Heather's care. We have already rebooked without hesitation!
Heather has been absolutely amazing with my dog and as a human. I am new here and she gave me recommendations for restaurants and has been so kind and helpful! The next day my pup was actually sad to be at home instead of going to see her. I would definitely recommend booking with her.

She was absolutely amazing with my 8-week-old puppy! I was a little nervous leaving such a young puppy, but she immediately put me at ease. She was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond throughout the day. She sent lots of updates, including pictures and videos, which I really appreciated—it made me feel so comfortable knowing my puppy was in great hands. You can tell she genuinely cares and gives the dogs a lot of attention and love. My puppy came home happy and well cared for. I’m so grateful and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative sitter!

Heather takes great care of panda. He can be a bit barky but Heather and Avi provide a safe space for our little dude. Great updates. Accommodated us when our flight was delayed. Highly recommend. Would book again!
