I grew up with a dog (an Australian Shepherd) and fostered puppies (aged 6 weeks to 6 months) all through high school. I worked as an assistant veterinarian technician for a summer in college and worked with cats and dogs of all sizes. I have also done long-term dog and cat sitting since the start of the pandemic and love hanging out with furry friends of all sizes.

Every dog and cat is different, so I’m flexible to the routines and preferences you and they have! I enjoy walks and often take myself on walks during the day anyways. I would love to bring your pet along! In terms of home care, quality time - whether that be playing, walking, petting, brushing, or something else - makes me happy. I look forward to getting to know your pet and doing what’s best for them!

Heather has been dog sitting for me and my wife for a number of years. She is a great dog sitter who is reliable, trustworthy and goes the extra mile to make sure your pet is not only well cared for, but also get's the attention they need so they won't miss you too much. She has always been very attuned to our dogs needs, whether it was dealing with our older Australian Shepard who needed a great deal of attention and quiet time or our full of energy puppy who needed constant play time and walks to wear him out. If you are the kind of dog owner who is particular about who you are willing to entrust the care of your dog with, you can do no better than Heather.
Heather has been a cat sitter for me on multiple occasions and has done an incredible job every time! She was highly communicative the entire time and provided regular updates on my cat, allowing me to rest easy while out of town. Animals clearly love her: she has a very calm presence. I came back to a very happy, well-cared for cat. I strongly recommend her!
I’ve know Heather for years and she is a fantastic pet-sitter and awesome person. She is dependable and caring, and loves dogs & cats. She is EVERYTHING you and your pet need to have peace of mind when you can’t care for your fur-baby. Heather cared for our Australian Shepherd for many years including when she was a “senior dog” and needed special care and medications for seizures. She now sits for our 3 year old Aussie mix. Heather will tailor her interaction according to your pets needs, whether that is extra playtime, walks, or sitting quietly together on the couch having cuddle time while drinking a cup of tea. She does way more than take care of basic needs, she really enjoys spending time with our pets and she will happily send pictures and videos giving us a glimpse of the days events. If you are a worrier, Heather is the pet-sitter you NEED!

Schedule
I work remotely at an environmental NGO and have a very flexible schedule with minimal scheduled calls! I can easily work from your place or stop by during the work day. I’m also very active, so would love to bring your furry friend on walks or runs with me if they’d like that. I’m around on weekends, too, and am happy to schedule my personal plans around the care schedule that works best for you and your pet.
