Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a very large, securely fenced-in yard where your dog can play off-leash and enjoy plenty of space to run and explore. We live in a quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood next to a scenic bike path, making it ideal for peaceful walks and enjoyable outdoor adventures. Inside, my home is pet-safe, with a calm and welcoming environment designed to keep your furry friend comfortable and secure. My own friendly, playful dog will also be there to keep your pet company, ensuring they have a buddy for fun and companionship. You can trust that your pet will be treated like family, with all the attention, care, and supervision they need to feel safe and at ease.

Information Heather K. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if there is anything specific that your pet enjoys (or really doesn't enjoy) and I will try to accomodate. I have a lot of experience with any medical needs that your pet may have.

A typical day

Every day with a pet is a good day in my book! Mornings usually start with a calm, friendly wake-up and a nice walk to get the day going. After breakfast, we head outside to enjoy some fresh air and fun in my fully fenced-in backyard—perfect for safe zoomies, fetch, or just lounging in the sun. If your dog is friendly and social, they’ll have the chance to play with my sweet pup, River. River loves making new friends and is great at matching energy—whether your dog wants to wrestle and run or just sniff around side-by-side. We’ll follow your pup’s routine as closely as possible, including meals, potty breaks, medications, and nap times. I’m always watching body language and behavior to make sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and happy. In the evening, we wind down with a peaceful walk or backyard time, followed by dinner, cuddles, and some chill time. Whether your pet is full of energy or more of a snuggle bug, I treat them like family while you're away.

Pet care experience

"I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. I had many dogs and cats growing up. Currently, I have a two-year-old dog who is highly active, and we enjoy outdoor adventures together—hiking, skiing, and even paddleboarding. I believe in treating each pet as an individual, with unique needs and personalities, ensuring they receive the specific care and attention they deserve. Whether it’s providing exercise, companionship, or simply keeping them comfortable, I approach every pet care situation with responsibility, love, and dedication."

Heather was great with my 18 month very active golden retriever, Josie. She loved going on hikes and off leash walks with Heather and River (her friendly pup). When Josie comes back from walks with Heather, she's always tired out. I highly recommend Heather!
