Pet care experience
Experienced and love all animals!
I truly love caring for and being around animals. I currently have a lab-terrier mix and a dachshund mix. I also have 7 cats, ranging in ages and needs. All of our pets came from the shelter or the streets! I raised and trained my chocolate lab from the age of a puppy, who lived a wonderful 13 years with me until he went to the Rainbow Bridge in June 2017. I lost my 12 year old black lab mix in July 2022 due to cancer, who I foster failed as a puppy. I have fostered through rescues, both long and short term. I have experience with semi- feral and senior dogs, cats and kittens, and puppies. I believe I am good at reading animal body language, earning their trust, and picking up on their likes, dislikes, and personalities. I am patient, loving, and truly enjoy being with animals. I have experience with training dogs using positive reinforcement.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for your pets in your home, I will follow all instructions given. I will give them as much attention as they’d like! I ensure there’s time to do what is needed for food, water, meds, going outside/scooping litter, and make sure there’s time for attention and playtime. I treat all animals the way I would want to be treated as an animal, and the same way I care for my own pets.

Heather is our first call when we plan to go out of town. If she’s not available, we won’t go! We don’t trust our babies with anyone else. We have three dogs, and two cats - one cat needs daily medication. They love Heather! Thanks Heather for loving them like they are yours.

Schedule
I work from home, so caring for animal is easily done throughout the day. I have a flexible schedule and can check on your pets when needed!
