Safety, trust & environment

I have a big enough home for animals to have their space if need be. We have 6 acres that aren't fenced in but I take walks back there. We have tie outs for dogs who are used to that and a nature preserve across the street for more walks. There is lots of room for outdoor and indoor activities. I have one cat who is cat and dog friendly and usually will mind his business. It's a quiet home with no children and no smoking.

Home

Information Heather G. would like to know about your pet

Please share any quirks or habits your pup or kitty has and I will tailor their care to what they are used to. My specialty is specialized care to make your fur baby as comfortable as possible while you're away.

A typical day

I think walks in nature are great enrichment. There is yard space to play catch or sniff around. I'll play tug of war with dogs who like that sort of enrichment, or work on training and new tricks for a more food motivated dog. There's a small stream in the backyard in case it's a hot summer day and they want to take a dip (if you say that's okay).

Pet care experience

I have experience caring for elderly dogs and cats giving medication as needed. I cared for 2 elderly dogs and 2 elderly cats for 7 years until they moved on. I then cared for the 2 new puppies for the next 8 years.

Heather is my dog’s new bff! They have such a great time together and Heather takes such great care to give pupdates and send photos. We’re so lucky to have her look after our pups!

Heather was great with my dogs. I had to book only a week in advance so it was great she was able to help. Thank you!

Heather is the best! She and my dog became fast friends. She’s so attentive and really communicative, which is such a big deal when you’re leaving your pet with someone! Would recommend her to anyone, and we’ll definitely be booking with her again!
