My long-term boyfriend and I moved here a few months ago and aside from writing 1 article a week at home I am unemployed and have lots of free time and space.

I have a big enough home for animals to have their space if need be. We have 6 acres that aren't fenced in but I take walks back there. We have tie outs for dogs who are used to that and a nature preserve across the street for more walks. There is lots of room for outdoor and indoor activities. I have one cat who is cat and dog friendly and usually will mind his business. It's a quiet home with no children and no smoking.

A typical day
I think walks in nature are great enrichment. There is yard space to play catch or sniff around. I'll play tug of war with dogs who like that sort of enrichment, or work on training and new tricks for a more food motivated dog. There's a small stream in the backyard in case it's a hot summer day and they want to take a dip (if you say that's okay).

I have experience caring for elderly dogs and cats giving medication as needed. I cared for 2 elderly dogs and 2 elderly cats for 7 years until they moved on. I then cared for the 2 new puppies for the next 8 years.
