Safety, trust & environment

When caring for a client’s animal companion in their homes, I always make sure to conduct a consultation (meet and greet) so that I am introduced to the companions before providing services. This ensures that your animal companions feel safe and secure with someone they are familiar with while I am in their home. This is used to establish what boundaries and needs your animal companion needs from me while you are away. Safety is the most important aspect of my job for your animal companions. All services are base rates.

Information Heather F. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your animal companion(s) has any special needs or requirements ahead of time and I most likely can meet you and ensure that I understand what is needed. I can conduct telephone or video consultations. However, it is preferred I also conduct a meet and greet, in person, before sitting any animal. This helps to ensure that the pet is not anxious, or fearful when meeting me if his/her pet parents left for an extended period. Medical, Allergies, & Health Information: • What vet should I go to for an emergency & what emergency contacts do you have outside of yourself? • Any medical conditions or any medications/supplements? Any allergies? Behavior & Training • How are they with other dogs or cats and/or children? • Is there a favorite toy or game your companion enjoys? • Do they get anxious, scared, or worried when left alone? • Are they an escape artist? • Are they protective or guard their food or toys? • Does the pet steal food from or jump on counters and tables? • Is your companion house trained? • Do accidents occur when they are anxious, nervous, or excited? • Does your companion act differently around new spaces or people? • Are there any behaviors that your companion does that concern you I should know? Routine: • What do they usually eat? • What is their potty break or litter cleaning schedule? • Do they get regular play time or walks? • Are treats or special rewards expected at certain times?

A typical day

-I will do my research to find new trails and parks in the surrounding areas to walk/hike with your pets. Any other requested areas work well. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to each animal companion! This goes for dogs, cats, birds, and big or small animals as well! -If you have any special requests I am willing to provide them with further discussion. Check out Facebook @ Influential K9, LLC for videos, and pictures of all the wonderful companions I currently provide services for!!! There are more reviews provided by repeat clients here as well.

Pet care experience

I’m a retired combat veteran and have plenty of Availability given notice! I run a full time pet care business and dog training business. I have more than 28 years experience with several animal species, including doing my professional businesses the past 4 years, working at a kennel, and several dog sports! I have not only gained experience but keep up with my Professional development as well through seminars, workshops, and coursework! Currently level 1&2 coursework and certification in programs with Method k9! My motto is always to #havefunwithit!!! Drop-in visits, Dog Walking/hikes, Mobile dog training/Enrichment (FUN!!)/Pack walks, day care, and day training programs! I do this full time as a licensed, insured, and bonded pet sitter, dog walker, dog trainer, and pet caregiver as Influential K9, LLC. I also have experience being a kennel manager for a dog daycare/boarding facility! Different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities up to 15-20 dogs some days at a time. Our home has half an acre of wooded area for sniffing and walking! And .25-.75 acre to run and play! We are adding new toys and activities every week! We also can accommodate hikes on daycare days we live right on the river by the Scotland damn! Once everyone is integrate there will be pack walks! So much to do and explore for your dogs while they get all the benefits of a one on one trainer. Daycare rates listed are base rates and packages will be based on services requested. I do have several reviews and testimonials on request and more than 40 repeat clients through my professional pet sitting and dog walking business. You can find more information by looking me up on Facebook or google as well! I want to bring love and fun to your home! I truly enjoy what I do and am doing what I love. When working with you and your animal companions you will always get photo updates, report cards, and safety as a priority! -My special skills include being able to provide enrichment and safe pet care practices, such as double leash retention, ice sheets during hotter months, water, and a first aid kit on me at all times during walks/visits. I can provide certain medical requests (such as oral medication or injections). I grew up with dogs (small, medium, and LARGE), cats, birds, small companion animals, fish, and horses over the years.

Heather was such an amazing help when I needed drop in visits for my sweet Livy Lou. From moment one of our meet and greet I felt so much comfort with her dog knowledge, calm nature, and I could tell she would love on Livy like she was her own. Heather kept me super up to date with when she was headed to my house, what Livy did, etc and was on top of asking about things she could do to help/tire Livy out. I 100% recommend Heather, yours dogs will be so happy that you have her a try!

I feel truly blessed to have found Heather. She is a great communicator, has tons of patience and compassionate with my fur babies. They are afraid of their own shadows & with each visit they warm up a bit more. I can truly be at ease while I’m away from home knowing Heather is looking after them. I will be using Heather for future visits.

Heather not only took great care of Zoey, walking her twice a day and feeding her, she kept me informed about what was going on with my elderly mother. Heather is an experienced dog trainer and it shows. She spent time evaluating Zoey on our meet and greet, and asked lots of questions. I highly recommend her.
