Currently, I am taking a break from veterinary medicine. I would like to begin my own dog walking/daycare/pet and house sitting business in order to support my family. This will become a full-time job for me with an open schedule at this point. Dog walking and check in’s (to potty and play) will be Monday to Saturday 7am to 7pm. As I cultivate a client base and access the needs of those clients, my hours will develop to accommodate those needs.

About Heather F.

Safety, trust & environment

At my house, we have a fenced in yard that is approximately half an acre. The fence is 7 feet high in all places. There is a kiddie pool and digging area. Inside is an open concept to roam. Currently, all of my dogs are very friendly couch potatoes. If needed, they could be separated (into their favorite spot, my bedroom!) to accommodate your pets needs. As for walking, I will adhere to all rules provided by you, the owner. I’m open to walking neighborhoods or taking your dogs out on the local trails. I will work side by side on manners and behavior with the owners.

Let me know any behaviors or needs that you pets has and we will work together to assure they get what they need in my care

A typical day

This will depend greatly on the pets needs. Hiking, playing with toys, and working on behavior are the most important activities that I do with my dogs. However, I do have a lazy boy and we love to veg on the couch or out on the lawn as well!

Pet care experience

With 15+ years of experience as a certified veterinary technician and personal pets, I am an ideal candidate to care for your pets. At home, I’ve had dogs, cats, birds, and horses for my entire life. Over the last three years, I’ve cared for three senior dogs who required an array of medications. My 15 years experience as a veterinary technician has helped me to develop an eye for detail when it comes to your pets needs and health.

Heather has always been an incredible person with animals. She is loving, nurturing and observant, often spotting things before owners do. She is experienced with dogs of all temperaments and I would 100% trust her with my animals.

Heather is an exceptional canine care giver. She is a highly skilled veterinary technician with many years of experience in veterinary anesthesia. She understands canine behavior and is extremely compassionate to all animals in her care. She adopts hard to place dogs a they all live harmoniously on her lovely dog friendly property. I would highly recommend her to care for your dog when you need to someone to love them in your place when you are away.

I have known Heather for 13 years and witnessed the love and care she gives to all animals whether her own pets, her friends pets, and her animal patients in her professional role as a vet tech. She is someone who tends to any pet she is caring for with their day to day needs and ensures the pets get plenty of appropriate levels of fun. Whether that is casual walks on a leash, free play in a fenced yard or, for the heartier pets, a nice hike somewhere beautifully New England. You can rest assured your pet is in good hands with Heather.

heather is one of the most genuine animal lovers I know. She cares for multiple animals of her own and is always a phone call away to help out any way she can with any other animal in need weather it be a pet or otherwise. She provides a safe space full of love. I highly recommend her services.
