When caring for pets in a client’s home, my top priority is to maintain a safe, clean, and comforting environment that helps pets feel relaxed and secure in their familiar space. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medication routines, walk times, play preferences, and any specific behavioral needs. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection (if they want it!) while also respecting their boundaries and personalities. I keep the home tidy, clean up after the pets, and ensure food/water bowls, litter boxes, and sleeping areas are fresh and organized. I also provide regular updates and photos to keep pet parents informed and reassured. Trust and respect are important to me—not only for the pets but also for the homes I’m welcomed into. I treat every home with care and professionalism, just like I would my own. Unfortunately I can not care for pets in my own at this time because I live in a tiny studio apartment.

Some important things I like to know include: Feeding schedule and dietary needs (including any allergies or restrictions) Daily routine and energy levels Medical history, medications, and vet contact info Behavioral traits (shy, friendly, protective, anxious, etc.) Triggers or fears (loud noises, strangers, other animals) Favorite toys, activities, or comfort items Commands or cues they know How they typically react to new people or changes in routine Any areas in the home that are off-limits or need extra care The more I know, the better I can care for your pet like family—and give you peace of mind while you’re away!
A typical day
Keeping pets happy and active is one of the best parts of my job! I love customizing playtime and activities based on each pet’s personality and energy level. For dogs, I enjoy going on scenic walks, playing fetch, tug-of-war, or simply exploring the yard or park for some sniffing adventures. If they enjoy training games, I also like working on basic commands or mentally stimulating puzzle toys. For cats, I bring out their playful side with feather wands, laser pointers, toy mice, and interactive play sessions—or just give them cozy lap time and gentle brushing if they prefer quiet companionship. Whether your pet loves to run and play or just relax and snuggle, I make sure they’re mentally and physically engaged, comforted, and loved while you're away.

I have owned dogs my whole life. Right now i own a extremely friendly cat. But I have dog care experience my whole life. Your dog will get plenty of play and exercise when they are with me. I live whiten short walking distance of two really nice parks. I am a huge animal lover so now need to worry about your pet not getting any affection from me. I have a large apartment so when your pet is inside my home it will have plenty of roaming room or plenty of carpet space for a nap. I am extremely flexible with times and dog sizes. I would love to do anything from board your dog to walking it to watching it in your home. I am a trustworthy people person. With me you will know your dog is safe and well cared for.

I recently had the pleasure of having Heather care for my dog, Noodle, and my cat, Luna, while I was away for a few days. From the start, she was professional, communicative, and showed genuine love and care for both of my pets. Noodle absolutely adored Heather! They went on long daily walks together, played fetch in the backyard, and even worked on a few basic training commands. I could tell he was getting great exercise and mental stimulation because when I got home he was calm and happy. Luna, my cat, can be a bit shy around new people, but she warmed up to Heather quickly. She appreciated the quiet cuddle time and got plenty of attention, play with her favorite feather toy, and her routine was kept just the way she likes it. Heather is an awesome pet sitter and dog walker. I highly recommend her. She has been taking care of my energetic Labrador, Max, for the past few months, and he absolutely adores her.
