I’m a part-time student and work flexible contract jobs, so I’m able to build my schedule around pet care. I keep my availability consistent and make sure I have plenty of time to give each pet the attention they deserve. Pet sitting fits really naturally into my routine, and I love having furry company throughout the day.

Safety, trust & environment

When I’m caring for pets in your home, my priority is to keep their routine familiar, their space calm, and their day as stress-free as possible. I follow your instructions closely, meals, walks, litter box care, playtime, meds, and any special quirks or comfort rituals your pet prefers. I’m gentle, patient, and attentive to each pet’s personality, whether they want cuddles, playtime, quiet companionship, or space. I move at their pace so they feel safe and understood. I also keep your home tidy and treated with respect while you’re away, lights, mail, plants, and basic upkeep are all happily included. My goal is for you to return to a relaxed pet and a home that feels well cared for. No matter the service, I focus on creating a loving, predictable, and calm environment so your pet feels secure until you’re home again.

Information Heather E. would like to know about your pet

Before I watch a pet, I like to get a good sense of their routine and any quirks that make them who they are. Things like feeding schedules, favorite treats, and how they normally act at home really help me keep them comfortable. I also like to know if they have any anxieties, triggers, or fears such loud noises, other animals, certain people, vacuums, thunder, you name it. Health info is important too: medications, mobility issues, allergies, or anything their vet has you keeping an eye on. And of course, I always ask about their potty/litter habits, preferred walking route or play style, and how they do with new people. Basically, anything you’d tell a trusted friend who’s looking after your pet, the little details help me make their time with me feel as normal and easy as possible.

A typical day

A typical day with me depends on the pet's personality, but starts with a calm check-in, fresh water, and a friendly greeting. For dogs, we usually start with a good walk, a little play time with their favorite toys and lots of belly rubs and sun basking breaks. For cats, fun can be a toy workout or just snuggling and lots of pets. All animals get lots of conversation and commentary on what we are doing. I try to keep things low-stress, positive and tailored to what makes your pet happy. The goal is to keep them comfortable, entertained and relaxed until their human is home again.

Pet care experience

Hi! I’m Heather! I am a lifelong animal lover, reliable caregiver, and proud pet parent of two doggos and two kitties (one who is a brand new addition!) I’m gentle and calm and I treat every pet like my own. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your animals, so communication and compassion are always my top priorities. You’ll get photo/Video updates and lots of reassurance while you’re away. I’m experienced with shy pets, senior pets, and anxious pups who need a little extra patience and kindness, and I adjust to your pet's personality and routine. I’m dependable, compassionate and always respectful of your homeand I truly love spending time with animals and giving them comfort, playtime, and affection while you’re gone. I know separation anxiety works both ways, and I strive to keep my clients relaxed and confident in my care of your fur babies. I am comfortable with oral medication routines as well as pet CPR. I would love to see if I would be a good fit for your family's needs.

Heather was wonderful with our three dogs and one of the first sitters we ever trusted with them. She immediately put us at ease and took such great care of everything while we were away for a week. One thing we really appreciated was how she reached out with thoughtful questions about each of the dogs personalities and how they get along. It was really nice because it showed she genuinely wanted to get to know them and make sure she was caring for them in the best way possible. One of the biggest bonuses is that she also cleans houses on the side, and it truly shows. We came home to a house that was even cleaner than when we left it, which was such a nice surprise after traveling and made coming home feel so much more relaxing. She was also incredibly thoughtful and flexible when our flight got delayed. She went out of her way to come back later in the evening to let the dogs out, which we really appreciated. She stayed in great communication the entire time and kept us updated, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and detail oriented sitter.
