Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because my partner and I already spend a lot of time caring for and spending quality time with our own cat. We both genuinely enjoy being around animals and making them feel comfortable, loved, and part of the family. We also love going on long walks after work each day, so having a dog companion along with us would fit perfectly into our routine and lifestyle. On weekends, we have even more flexibility and time to dedicate to walks, playtime, cuddles, and attentive pet care. We understand how important consistency and attention are when caring for pets, and we’re happy to follow each pet’s usual routine to help them feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away.

I always try to care for pets in a way that keeps them as comfortable and stress-free as possible by following their normal routine closely. I pay attention to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, litter box or potty routines, and any specific instructions their owner provides. Before caring for a pet, I think it’s very important to know their normal routine, personality, energy level, and any special needs or preferences they may have. I like knowing details such as feeding schedules, favorite activities, medications, comfort items, bathroom/litter routines, and how they typically interact with new people. I also appreciate knowing if a pet is shy, anxious, reactive, very social, or has anything specific that helps them feel comfortable and safe. Every pet is different, and I always want to make sure I’m caring for them in the way that works best for them.
A typical day
I love adjusting activities based on each pet’s personality and energy level! For dogs, I enjoy long walks, playtime, fetch, exploring new walking routes, and giving them plenty of attention and exercise throughout the day. My partner and I already enjoy going on long walks after work, so having a dog join us would fit naturally into our routine. For cats, I love interactive play with toys, wand teasers, laser pointers, treats, brushing, cuddle time, and simply keeping them company. I also know some cats prefer relaxing nearby instead of active play, and I’m just as happy spending time with the lounge cats who want a calm companion and cozy naps.

As an owner of big dogs (145 lbs), I understand how difficult it may be for one to find the purrfect pet sitter. I am here to ensure YOUR big baby receives all the love and attention while you’re away. I also have a large ragdoll cat who is very lazy. I have experience providing oral medication to cats and dogs. I also have some experience with wise senior dogs.

My wife and I have a senior Great Dane who can be nervous around newcomers. He immediately gravitated towards heather who was available for a meet and greet. She was kind enough to give great personals updates and also cleanup his messes as a result of being an older dog. She even left us a kind note and took care of our plants! We are pretty picky people with our old man, but I would 100% recommend Heather and fully plan to book her again.
Met Heather few years ago since the time I had my dog, and she was always incredibly caring and loving with her. Sadly, my sweet girl crossed the rainbow bridge, but now she helps take care of my three cats and they absolutely adore her. My cats are very picky with both food and people, and one of them has medical issues, so I am extremely careful about who I trust with them. She is always patient, attentive, gentle, and responsible with their care. She takes the time to play with them, feed them properly, and make sure they feel comfortable and safe. I truly cannot recommend her enough. I’m so happy she is now on Rover because more pet parents will get to experience how wonderful she is. Your babies will be in very kind, loving, and trustworthy hands with her. She is hardworking, dependable, and genuinely cares about animals.
