I work from home so I am available throughout the day to exercise your dog. I do have dogs of my own that will be kept separate. However, with 2 separate fenced yards attached to the home, gates inside the home and large pastures to romp around, I will ensure everyone gets ample exercise and enrichment. If your dog likes to swim, I will walk them down to our creek where they can go swimming! If they are not a fan of the water, then we will take walks around the entire farm. If your dog is low key, injured or simply does not like long walks then the fenced yard would be perfect for him/her! I love to stay active and spend my time outdoors and your dog can join along ! If they prefer lounging on the couch, that's perfectly fine too!

I have 2 fenced in yards plus 100ft leads to take dogs out into our pastures in addition to a creek if they like playing in water. My personal dogs are kept separate from client dogs so there is no worry if dogs need to be an only dog. I can provide a crate or leave dogs loose if that is what they are used to. I have a large lucky kennel as well if that is more comfortable. With fostering many dogs, I am used to accommodating all needs! Everyone will always be safe and well taken care of here.

I work from home and love to spend most of my time outdoors. In addition to fenced yards, I take dogs out on long leads around our 15 acres. If your dog likes to swim, I will take him/her into our creek where there is an area to swim! If you have a dog that isn't as adventurous, they can hang out in our home where we have tons of dog beds as well as the couch! I am also knowledgeable in different enrichments and have dog puzzles, snuffle mats and can freeze Kongs. I have a 4 year old daughter whom has been around dogs since birth and is very respectful. She enjoys playing with the dogs but also keeps her space when needed. We have watched dogs in the past that have been weary of small children and it has always worked out fine. We have gates setup in the house for slow intros or separation.

Dogs vacation on the farm!

I have been involved in the rescue world for 13 years and during that time, I have fostered 300 dogs. I have extensive knowledge/experience with many different breeds. I have had all ages from newborn to senior and all sizes from 1.5lb dog with hydrocephalus to a 4ft Great Dane, as well as cats. I live on a 15 acre farm where your dog will receive ample exercise and attention! I also have experience with other animals such as chickens, pigs, goats, cattle and alpacas. I have experience with administering medicine and I am comfortable with most behaviors. With being heavily involved in rescue, I have experienced just about anything you could throw my way! I do have a 5year old daughter who is very respectful of dogs (she was born into the rescue world and dogs coming and going) that being said, I cannot take in aggressive dogs. I completed a 1 year internship with an animal behaviorist as well and have experience training dogs of various ages and understand the enrichment needed. I have two separate fenced yards attached to my house and can slowly acclimate dogs if needed. I can only take a dog only dogs on a case by case basis. I often have other dogs here and want to ensure safety for everyone. I do feed everyone separately. If you have a dog only dog, please reach out to me and I can let you know if I have other bookings

Heather is a fabulous dog sitter. Our fur baby gets to experience farm life with loving care when Heather watches her.
Heather was very communicative before and during my dog’s stay. She sent lots of updates and photos while I was away. My three dogs were very well taken care of and had lots of outside time to run around. They loved the farm and can’t wait to be back!
