I understand that your pet is an important part of your family! I take this job very seriously. I will always give your dog the best in care and consideration. My fees are a little higher because I dedicate my time, attention and my home to your pet and his or her specific needs. Rover also takes 20% of my rate! As the old saying goes... 'you get what you pay for." I rearrange my life, home and schedule so I can provide them with the best care and safe space that they deserve. Your dog will be my one and only top priority. When boarding, I do not take In dogs from other families while your dog is here. I clean and get my home ready for your dog's safety and comfort. I also cancel appointments and changed my schedule so I can stay 24/7 with your dog for the first 2-3 days so he/she is not worried or anxious. I really put my whole heart into this work and even cry a little when the dog leaves because I've grown to love them so much. I work from home part time. I am empathetic for dogs whose owners have to be away, and I provide them with the love and attention they need while you can't be with them. I am extremely reliable and organized. Be sure to read my reviews and please note that the one I had to cancel was because my father passed away unexpectedly. I am loyal and will always communicate with you and send lots of pictures. I don't have children or any pets of my own so I can devote all of my time and effort to caring for your beloved dog. I live alone and my home and the trip to go outside is step-free and safe for older dogs and dogs with special needs. I have had several dogs in the past and my most recent dog had separation anxiety, food sensitivities and some health issues so I am able and knowledgeable to care for your special needs pup. I have a large walking space in a natural wooded setting and will always keep your dog leashed, safe and happy. There are also 3 fenced dog parks right outside my home, I won't need to cross any roads. I am available to stay at your place with your dog so they will feel safe and at home. This option is best for dogs who have never been away from you before or those with separation anxiety. They definitely feel and act like they feel more comfortable and know you're coming back soon. You'll be able to contact my references who have booked house sitting with me. I bring in mail, deliveries, take out the trash bins, water your plants, I've accomodated the appliance repair people...whatever else might be needed to care for your home. I customize everything based on your needs. I love walking dogs and will always let them sniff and stop to investigate and enjoy their dog life. I am gentle and considerate with the leash and will never pull or tug.

Heather was wonderful with Lilly. We received a ton of pictures and I could tell Lilly felt very much at home. If Heather was unsure about anything, she sent us a message instead of assuming which I very much appreciated! I would 💯use Heather again. Thanks for taking such great care of or girl.
Heather is a great pet and home sitter! She really attached herself to our aging frenchie and was able to deal with all of his medications as well as care and love for an older dog. She bent over backwards to accommodate his and our needs. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to take care of their pet which typically is really another family member!
Heather was thoughtful and asked great questions. It was clear that she wanted to learn how to best care for our pup and his needs. He had a good visit and we received several photos where he was clearly feeling at home :) And, he was wagging his tail the next time we saw her. We would reccomend Heather and we have already booked with her again!

Schedule
I work from home for only a few hours each day. I can work around your schedule and needs. I will be able to stay with your dog for the majority of the day and all night. If you need me to stay with your dog 24 hours per day, I can arrange that and understand it is important for some dogs.

Safety, trust & environment
I will always make sure your dog has fresh food and clean filtered water available. I make sure my home is dog friendly. I know dogs like to look out the window or sit on the porch so I make a spot for them to watch the ducks, geese, squirrels and birds.
A typical day
I love to play with dogs,and we will walk in the woods on a trail, run in the grass and watch the geese and ducks on the pond. I live steps from a private dog park where your dog can run and play! We will never cross any roads, there are many places to walk on the sidewalks. If I need to leave for a little bit, I find a youtube video made just for dogs that plays calming music and shows nature scenes.
