Pet care experience

FT Dog Sitter/Walker w/fenced yard

Updated 2/14/20 I have been Rover dog sitting for almost two years now and absolutely love it! It’s been such a success for me and my family that I have started doing this fulltime since January 2020. I am a mother of three boys and we have an American Eskimo Dog that we have taken in when my mother passed away. Our family enjoys caring, walking and playing with all kinds of different pets in the community. Growing up I had many pets and started pet sitting when I was 10 years old. I grew to have many pets from birds to pot bellied pigs. If you have other animals that need care I’d be happy to help there too. I am located on James Island but sometimes willing and able to serve other parts of the Charleston area.

Pets

A typical day

Our family spends a lot of time outdoors. Depending on your dogs active level we play fetch and let dogs chase each other playfully in the backyard. Our dog Sunshine acts as a mother goose if she feels dogs are playing too rough she will intervene with a bark or pat to announce any boundaries. She also participates in tug of war.

Helpful information to provide is their feeding schedule, any medications and/or allergies to be on the look out for. Any behavioral needs like separation anxiety, fireworks/thunderstorm anxiety, aggressiveness tendencies we should know about (especially during feeding), food opportunistic personality (grabbing food from counters or roots through trash) any items that your dog may like to chew like shoes, paper towels , etc
