One Dog at a Time | Family Care

Your dog will stay in a our family home, not a busy boarding facility. We intentionally host only one guest dog at a time and I work from home, so your dog will receive lots of attention and can settle comfortably into our daily routine. Our large fenced backyard (about 75 feet' x 75') is a running dog’s paradise, and our teenagers are always happy to wear out playful pups or cuddle dogs who prefer affection. I grew up working on a farm, so I bring a calm, experienced approach to caring for animals. We're now entering our third year of Rover and have loved the experience provided to us by meeting and caring for your playful pups! Caring for only one dog at a time really allows us to welcome them to become part of the family.

The best ever! I’ve never felt more confident and comfortable leaving my crazy/ high maintenance frenchie with a sitter. My #1 choice in the future for sure.

We’re very happy that Heather and Brendan took such great care of our dog, Hiro, while we were out of town. Their communication was excellent, and we felt confident knowing Hiro was in good hands. We’d definitely count on them again!

Maverick always has the best time here and I can tell he is very sad when he has to leave! Thanks for watching him over the holidays for us. Happy new year!

Safety, trust & environment

-We've lived in our Winter Park home for nearly 20 years. Our home is designed for dogs of all sizes with a small living area that has tile floors, making it easy to clean up any messes. -We have a very large backyard, fully fenced for secure playtime, ensuring your dog has plenty of space to run and explore. Our home is like a camp for your dog. We offer as much 50/50 outside playtime during the day, perfect for active dogs. Combined with a small but comfortable living area, providing cool respite and cozy nap times. -Our backyard features a securely fenced chicken coop and plenty of wildlife, including lizards, squirrels, and wild rabbits (don't worry they are fast), to keep your dog entertained. -For water-loving dogs, we set up a large tarp to create a shallow pool for splash time. -We love messy play! Digging is allowed in parts of the yard, but we can also discourage this behavior if you prefer. I don't mind bathing them after play time. -We live in a pet-friendly neighborhood with sidewalks perfect for daily walks. -Our family includes one friendly, easy-going dog, Luke, a 11-year-old mixed breed who loves dogs of all sizes and even loves cats - that's how gentle he is. He’s great at sharing, not territorial, and especially loves daily walks and roaming the backyard with his buddies. -No small children in our home (only kids aged 12 and up) ensure a calm and safe environment. -We don't allow our dog on the furniture, but we won’t mind if your dog prefers to lounge on the couch. -We have a "no table scraps" policy for our dog, but we’re happy to feed your dog treats as directed. -Dogs are separated during feeding time to ensure a peaceful mealtime for everyone.
