Hello! I’m Heather I’m a lifelong animal lover and experienced pet sitter in my early 50s, with decades of animal rescue volunteer experience and extensive hands-on experience caring for animals. I’ve been a cat owner since I was 19 and a dog owner since 22, and I’ve personally owned and cared for cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, and rabbits. I’m also the proud owner of an African Grey parrot and two Pugs. They’re currently out of state with my husband while we work on relocating our whole family to Missouri—so for now, I’m enjoying getting my animal fix by caring for other people’s pets! My professional background is as a real estate broker in Arizona, so I’m very comfortable being in other people’s homes and understand the responsibility that comes with caring for someone else’s property. I’m accustomed to treating every home with respect, paying attention to details, and making sure everything is secure and well cared for. I’m now based in Nixa, in the Springfield, Missouri area, and I currently have full availability for pet- and house-sitting stays. I’m a professional who works remotely, so I can work comfortably from my own home or from your home using your Wi-Fi. This means I’m able to spend much of my day with your pets rather than coming and going for short visits. I love animals and genuinely enjoy being around them. Whether that means walks, playtime, companionship, or snuggles when they’re wanted, I’m happy to give your pets plenty of attention while you’re away. I’m comfortable administering oral medications, caring for senior animals, and following specific feeding, exercise, medication, and care routines. This can be especially helpful for nervous or rescued pets. My rescue experience has taught me the importance of patience, reading an animal’s body language, and allowing each pet to adjust at their own pace. 🐾 A Personal Note Whenever I walk into a home, I look for the animals first and the people next. 😊 I genuinely love spending time with animals, so getting to stay somewhere with pets to care for, play with, walk, and snuggle (when they’re into that!) is truly the best of both worlds for me. My goal is simple: when you’re away, your pets should feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their own home—and you should feel confident that they and your home are in good hands.
