I have had many dogs and cats, and I understand how much these furry family members mean to us! I am trained in dog CPR and first aid, to give you peace of mind that even in the worst and most unlikely circumstances, I will care for your dog as if it were my own. I will take good care of your pets, following your directions exactly. I’m comfortable with giving medications, as well as tending to special dietary or medical needs. Rest assured that in my care your dog will receive the same attention you would give to them yourself. I am familiar with several breeds of dogs, and comfortable with large breeds, small breeds, and everything in between. Additionally, I will respect your home while you are away, keeping it as clean as you left it and I’ll bring in mail or newspapers if needed. For overnight stays, you will have two responsible adults, as both my wife and I are animal lovers! We can also work out discounts for multiple pets or for extended time periods. -Trained in dog CPR and first aid -Pet owner: I have been a life-long owner of dogs and cats -Volunteered for six local dog rescues -Have fostered many rescue dogs in my home Why I love dog sitting I have always been a dog lover. We were very nervous as our daughters wedding approached, we had no one to watch our 105lb baby Borsoi. Then we found Heather. Bounder loved her right from the start , she understood how worried I was over Bounder being well cared for and she gave him love, comfort and attention. Taking away our worry and letting us enjoy the wedding. Our home was well cared for as well as our furry baby. I will be calling Heather the next time we go away. She did a five star job.
Heather took care of our 8 year old Australian Shepherd, Scout, for two weeks while we were in Europe. Scout has specific dietary needs and he has escaped from a previous pet sitter's fenced-in yard. Heather's home is set up to be escape proof and she is happy to work with special dietary needs. Heather has Basset Hounds and a Blue Tick Beagle that welcomed Scout and helped him to learn how to use the doggy door. Scout had a good time playing with one of Heather's dogs and he was happy and healthy when we returned from our trip. I highly recommend Heather as a pet-sitter, whether in your home or hers. I've known Heather for many years and I can vouch for her love of animals, her ability to handle any situation, and her integrity. You can trust her with your pets and your home.
