I’m a longtime dog owner and experienced foster who understands that every dog has their own personality, needs, and comfort level. My Australian Shepherd, Ernie, came to me after having several previous owners, so I have firsthand experience helping dogs feel safe, settled, and understood. I’m patient and observant, and I’m comfortable caring for active, intelligent, shy, anxious, senior, or recently adopted dogs. I pay close attention to behavior cues and the small details that help each dog feel comfortable.

Schedule
I live in Northwest Washington, D\.C\., and work from home part of the week, which gives me flexibility for walks and drop\-in visits\. I’m available to provide bathroom breaks, feeding, exercise, playtime, enrichment, and companionship based on your dog’s usual routine\. I’m comfortable with dogs who need more than a quick trip outside and will tailor each visit to your dog’s energy level, favorite activities, and individual needs\.

Your dog’s safety and well-being will always be my priority. I carefully follow feeding instructions, medication schedules, walking routines, household rules, and any guidance regarding triggers or special needs. I believe a meet-and-greet is important so your dog can become familiar with me and I can learn about their personality and routine. You can expect reliable communication, thoughtful updates, and plenty of photos while your dog is in my care.
