Hi, my name is Hayley! I’m 30, attending grad school and living in Lake Grove, NY. I am a lifelong cat owner (none of my own right now) and I have tons of experience with both cats and dogs as well as other small animals. I am a kind, empathetic and patient person and huge animal lover. Since 2010, I’ve had many clients trust me to care for their pets whether it be dog walking, house sitting or boarding. I’ve worked with pets of all different ages and needs. Currently, I live in a house with a fenced in backyard and if your pet can’t board with other animals I am happy to accommodate. My availability is pretty flexible too so I can be available on short notice. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have for me!

Hayley once again was amazing with our 2 dogs! She communicated well and sent a lot of pictures while we were away. Our dogs love going there!!

Schedule
I have pretty flexible availability. I currently am in grad school part time but otherwise I am often at home. Sometimes I will have a couple walks in a day and other days are totally open.

Safety, trust & environment
At a client’s home I am always very conscious and respectful of the space and try to spend time with pets where they feel most comfortable. I also make sure to provide play time and of course lots of love. In my space, pets are free to roam the house and also have access to my fenced in backyard. They are always given lots of attention and care. If they need to be the only pet in the house I am happy to accommodate if you just let me know :)
A typical day
On a typical day I would take a dog for at least 2 20 minute walks. I would also include daily playtime and plenty of quality time with your pet. For dogs, I like to go out and play in the backyard. If they are allowed to have treats there will be snack time too!

- It would be helpful to know their general personality and typical behaviors before meeting them. With dogs it also helps to know how they react to other animals/other dogs. Another important one is how good they are at communicating when they need to go potty. Also let me know of any potential triggers in terms of sounds or if they tend to pull on walks or aren’t fully leash trained!
