Pet care experience

Passionate College Student

I grew up on a farm with dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, donkeys, pigs, fish, and the occasional duck or goose. I was responsible for a lot of their care before and after school, and I worked as a kennel technician for a couple of years. Currently I work on Duke’s campus with sick dogs in the pediatric department. I also just love animals! I’m good at attention to detail, cleaning up after pets, feeding/watering/medicating, and walking. I’m comfortable with any and all kinds of pets.

Safety, trust & environment

I am not able to keep pets in my dorm as it is against university policy but I would be more than happy to commute or spend nights for house/petsitting. I have done so before, and I do very well with this. I find it to be a fun experience

Thank you Hayley!! She took awesome care of our two doggos! She administered meds to our aussie, fed them both, and took them outside while keeping a close eye on our aussie to avoid "grass eating" right now. :) Thank you!

Hayley was AWESOME! My first time leaving them since my aussie started having seizures. She was patient with me and all my extra communication! :) She arrived on time, feed them, took them out, and administered our aussie's meds. Thank you!! :)

House Sitting • may. 24, 2026

Simply AMAZING!!!! Right before Hayley's sitting was set to begin, one of my dogs experienced an emergency. She rushed directly to the house and loaded him into her vehicle and took him to the vet. She stayed with him at the vet and then brought him home and bathed him!!! I literally cannot thank her enough!! She was absolutely amazing and she continued to care for my two dogs until I could get home to them!! :) I would highly recommend to anyone!! Thank you, Hayley!! :)

Hayley is a wonderful pet caregiver! Growing up with a variety of pets of her own, she knows how to care for them, entertain them, and identify when there is a problem. She is reliable and sweet. All my pets love her! You won’t have to worry about your pets being in Hayley’s capable hands!

Hayley is an exceptional pet sitter. She cared for our farm flawlessly, on numerous occasions. Dogs, cats, chickens, goats and horses! 10 out of 10 recommend. Her attention to detail is spot on and we will continue trusting her with our babies for years to come.

I do like to get to know pets and go over routines of care in person before a stay or visit. I think its important not to surprise any pets in their homes and its a big help to me!
