I’ve had dogs throughout my life across a wide range of sizes and temperaments. My current dog, Roman, is a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Boxer mix who spent the first 13 months of life getting passed over in shelters. Since adopting him in 2021, our goofy Scooby-Doo lookalike has gone from cautious and defensive to openly playful with a constantly wagging tail, has mastered a long list of tricks, and is fully convinced he’s royalty. After about 18 months of dedicated socialization, he now LOVES having his Rover friends over to visit and is always ready for a trip to the dog park. While he's far from my first rescue, Roman has taught me a lot about patience, structure, and building trust. I bring that same steady, loving approach to each dog I care for. Every fit baby is different. Some want energetic playtime and fetch, some want a sniff-tour and a nap, and some want emotional support like a sickly Victorian child. I’m here for all of it with mindful supervision, tailored care, and compassionate interaction. If your pup will be spending time in our home, they will have a very comfortable setup. We live in a small, gated community with a fully fenced, paved backyard with naturally cool travertine, a large pool deck, and a long dog run with plenty of all-day shade. Inside, there is lots of space to move around with open access to comfy furniture for snuggle time, extra dog beds and cozy crates, and a doggie door for easy on-demand access in and out. I know how much trust it takes to hand your best friend to someone else. I follow your routine closely and take extra time to always make smart choices that keep fur baby safe, happy, and comfortable. Since we live in Phoenix, so I’m extra mindful about the impacts of heat (i.e. early/late outdoor time, shade, hydration, and indoor enrichment when it’s too hot out.) Every evening, I send a daily update. I always include photos and add some quick notes about your dog's day because I know you miss that face and peace of mind matters.
