I've been pet sitting for free my whole life. I love animals and I jump on any opportunity I get to hang out with one. I have dog sat puppies and older dogs, some with behavioral issues and many that were very easy going, from high energy dogs that want to chase a ball for hours to lazy dogs that just want to lay on the couch and get cuddles to dogs that just want to go to the dog park and wrestle with other dogs for a while. I've often gotten groups of dogs together to take them all to the dog park. I have also owned and babysat many cats. I love playing with little kittens and earlier this year I kept a senior cat company for a week near the end of her life. I even took care of a cat that liked to be walked on a leash like a dog. Other pets I've babysat for include; chickens, parrots, a boa constrictor and one pot bellied pig named Cookie, if anybody is interested in more exotic petsitting. For as long as I can remember I've always loved animals and had pets. Before I was even in school me and my brother would watch birds and squirrels and check under rocks for bugs and salamanders. It wasn't long after that that we took in our first street cat, named him Ozzy and gave him a home. After that we got a dog from a nearby farm and named him Kitoto. Soon after that it was goldfish and frogs. It wasn't long until I had mice and hamsters and my brother had snakes and lizards. We had so many pets as a kid that my Mother had a whole room dedicated to cages and terrariums. Naturally me and my brother started taking in animals from around our area; a baby robin that was abandoned, another stray cat, a baby squirrel that almost drowned in a friends pool, another cat, a young starling with a broken leg, we even incubated and hatched a some snapping turtles from their eggs after their mom laid them in the middle of a gravel road. Into my adulthood I still have taken care of many animals including, a few more barn cats, a small parrot(pineapple conure) and chickens. Animals in general and especially pets have been one of the most important things my entire life. I have always thought that as their guardians it is our job to give them the best most enriched life we can. I've extended that care to every animal I have ever met.
