I’ve been caring for dogs since 2018, when I began volunteering at an animal shelter (and brought one saucy chunk home!). During this time I also volunteered at a wildlife rescue facility, performing medical aid in their hospital.

I've witnessed the many ways that Havi's responsibility extends into all facets of her life and work— her interactions with animals included! She has several pets of her own, and I can tell they are loved and deeply cared for far beyond their basic needs. When several of my friends and coworkers have needed a pet sitter/walker, Havi is the first person I always think of and suggest, as long as personal schedules align. She is calm, reliable, and quick on her feet— exactly who'd I want caring for my pet (once I get one) when I'm away.
My dog Daisy absolutely adores Havilah! Havilah has kindly dogsat for me, and Daisy was sad to see her leave when I got back -- she's kind and attentive and I've never met an animal that didn't like her.

In our home, your dog has free range of the place and all furniture, unless it’s not preferred (our dogs lay on the couch and sleep in our bed). While there’s no fenced yard, there’s a large open space/trail area right behind our place, along with a fenced dog park 2 minutes away. We love walking!

A typical day
I provide gentle care, consistent exercise, and mental stimulation (‘find it’ games, puzzles, etc.) for your babies throughout the day. We love to stay active: hikes, walks, and dog parks are regulars. Please let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like me to do (or not do) with them.

Availability
I’m currently a graduate student who’s teaching a creative writing course at CU. This means about 85% of my time is spent at home with my two funny and loving doggos! During spring and fall semesters my schedule is pretty flexible (usually only leaving three hours at a time) and even more so in the summer.
