I am a registered nurse that currently works from home with a somewhat flexible schedule. As long as I know ahead of time, I can likely make myself available to check in on local pets or have a furry coworker for the day.

For our personal pets, we have an invisible fence. For pets we are hosting, we use a leash to go outside always. We are open to specific needs for pets in our home and pets we are checking in on and/or feeding. Please let me know ahead of time if there are any special requests or needs.

A typical day
We can go for walks and take some time for the dogs to experience different smells, go to local parks, play fetch, play with your dog’s favorite toys, etc. Please let me know what activities your pet likes and I will let you know if I can accommodate. If your furbaby loves kids, this is a plus as my kids are animal lovers and love to play all day with them! I also understand if they are nervous or reactive and will do my best to be a person they feel safe and calm around. I have been around and lived with an occasional reactive dog. I feel pretty confident in my demeanor around them, but every dog is different. So if you do have a pet that has any behavioral sensitivities, please let me know and we can schedule a Meet & Greet to make sure I am the right fit for your fur family.

Pet care experience
I grew up on a hobby farm with dogs, cats, emus, chickens, goats, sheep, horses and cows. All of them were pets on our little 64 acre funny farm, and I also spent a lot of time on my extended family’s operational farms and have an understanding of working animals. I no longer live on a farm, I miss it and I want my animal loving kiddos to have the opportunity to learn and grow with various pets. Feel free to reach out and ask if I marked a day as unavailable. Occasionally, I can make accommodations and my husband is often available to help out if needed. If my kids (14yo & 9yo) are available, they love to love on and play with any pets they can, so feel free to let me know if you have a preference of kids being around your pets or not.
