Pet care experience

Big love for walks, cuddles and playing

I grew up with dogs of all shapes and sizes, from Jack Russell's to border Collies. In recent years I've looked after dogs for friends and family. I have experience with puppies, dogs with arthritis (requiring pushing in a pram), dogs on restricted diets, administering medication and of course lots of cuddles and walks if welcomed!

Harriette looked after my dog so well, she walked him early to avoid the heat, was very considerate of his needs and also kept us regularly updated while we were away. I couldn't have asked for more, he was obviously extremely content throughout his stay. Very happy owners indeed!!

Harriette was really great, she came round to meet our cat ahead of time, and sent us lots of updates while we were away - our cat is usually quite skittish, but from photos she looked really relaxed and comfortable hanging out with Harriette! We’ll be sure to book her again if we have any other trips planned :)

Harriette was really responsive and flexible when it came to looking after Chewie. She had plenty of space and a secure outside section for medium size dogs. Her location is in great proximity to local parks as well which was great. We recieved plenty of updates during chewie's short stay which made us feel even more comfortable. We would definately leave Chewie with Harriette again. Thanks you!

Harriette has looked after my cat several times and has always been very reliable. She always makes sure she knows all about him and he’s always well loved and given lots of attention. Harriette is a great cat sitter and I would be happy for her to look after my furry boy any time!

Schedule

I work from home full time so my schedule is completely free and flexible for regular walks and toilets breaks. It's unlikely your pet will be left on their own. I live with my parents who are also dog friendly, they aren't home during the day but are around in the evening, so plenty of company if your pet wants it! Equally, the house is big enough that they can have some alone time if thats their preference.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a medium sized enclosed and secure garden. In the summer the door can be left open for pets to come and go as they please. For boarding requests, I live with my own dog (Otis) who is a 10-year old French basset cross. He's friendly (if uninterested) in other dogs. We can introduce your pet to Otis at the meet and greet and ensure they get on. Otis is used to having other dogs stay and is very chill. He is neutered.

A typical day

I wake up early and like to go for a walk before work. My working hours are generally 8am to 5pm with an hour lunch break 12pm-1pm. Depending on your pets energy levels there's plenty of opportunities for walks throughout day and then in the evening.

Cats

18 to 45 kg
Dogs over 1 year old
Spayed and neutered dogs only

Otis sleeps downstairs in the kitchen on his own (not in a crate) so it would be good to know where your pet likes to sleep.
