I have many years of experience in animal care, including working at a veterinary clinic where I came into contact with a wide range of animals. Additionally, I ran a dog-sitting business for a few years while my son was a child, where I looked after dogs of various ages and breeds. I have also fostered dogs regularly, and have had two rescued canine companions over the last 15 years - I have experience with both young and senior dogs. I am accustomed to various behavioural issues and I am attentive to your dog's needs, providing regular exercise, play and care.

We couldn’t have had a better experience than with Harriet looking after our big softie Bill. This was our first time using a sitter outside of family but he was welcomed with open arms, allowed on the sofa and bed and taken on several little day trips out and about. It was lovely to have photos sent throughout his stay and put our minds at ease that he was in safe hands. Thank you Harriet x
Harriet was a very attentive and thoughtful in the care of our 16 yr old pooch, Lucy. We had regular updates. Lucy had all the home comforts provided. They had quite clearly bonded and Harriet’s knowledge of looking after senior dogs is evident. I would totally recommend Harriet as a dog sitter.
Harriet was quick to respond back to my last minute booking she was great at communicating with us. The cats really enjoyed the company and the fuss. We left out some instructions which Harriet followed really well. Felt really comfortable leaving our cats at home and we will definitely be booking Harriet again. Harriet has looked after my senior Border terrier who is 18. She doesn’t sleep through the night and Harriet was great at getting up with her and generally being great with her. I always worry about her as she’s so old but Harriet took the best of care of her. She took her for walks and gave her lots of cuddles and love. She loves animals and is so kind and caring.

Schedule
I work remotely. I would be able to walk a dog before I start work, at lunch time and after work as I live near a park. Toilet breaks in my enclosed garden would be regular.

I have an enclosed garden. I am willing to emulate whatever your dog's routine is at home including allowing them on the sofa and upstairs if necessary.

A typical day
Your dog will be stimulated physically and mentally. I have lots of parks and green spaces nearby. We can play games with toys and a snuffle mat.
