I am looking to build connections with people and their fur babies in my spare time. I work part time usually , but will be looking to make this my full time job. This is something I have always wanted to do and will look to pursue a career in this for full time work. I am taking courses in First Aid and Behaviour Awareness. My priority is to understand dog body language and make sure I understand your dogs needs while I am taking care of them. I also want you to feel at ease and happy to leave your dog in my hands so anything that helps, let me know. I can send you photos and updates during my stay, walk or visit.

I have a vehicle so I can drive to your home and if there was an emergency, I am able to take your pet to the closest vet services. I would want to discuss with you what you pets needs, and what they enjoy. I can provide treats and toys if needed. I would be co-operative to your needs and dogs needs. I would respect your home and make sure all your expectations are met.

A typical day
First of all, I would enjoy meeting your pet with friendly approach and getting to know them. I can reward with treats if you are happy with this and engage with them with dog games to help stimulation. We can play treat hunts, fetch in the garden or inside. Hide and seek with their favourite toys. I can also teach them new tricks that I've taught my own dogs. These would be for high energy dogs needing stimulating. Older dogs or calmer dogs I am happy to sit with them for cuddles and talk to them if that's all they need. Any brushing or bathing they need I am happy to help.

We contacted Harriet pretty last minute about a drop in visit while we were out for the day. Despite it being last minute, she went out of her way to arrange a meet and greet prior to make sure everything would be ok and to meet our dog Ziggy. It is obvious Harriet has experience around dogs and Ziggy took her straight away and the drop in visit went well with no issues. Really happy with the service and I am sure we will be in touch in the future.
Great response times, Harriet explained the whole process of looking after our dog very thoroughly and genuinely cares about providing an excellent service. 10/10⭐️

Harriet looked after my cocker spaniel Prim whilst I was away on holiday for 2 weeks. Harriet’s love and passion for dogs was clear from the first meeting and Prim was treated like one of the family. Harriet’s calming nature around dogs puts them at ease in her care. I would highly recommended this sitter.
