(I mostly go by Peter now, but haven't figured out how to change that on my profile yet). There has only been one year of my entire life where I haven't had at least one pet. Dogs of various sizes, far more than my fair share of cats, and in more recent years, reptiles, amphibians, chickens, and rabbits! I have lots of experience with caring for pregnant animals and litters of puppies and kittens (including newborns), animals with various health conditions, various energy levels, and caring for all ages and species of pets. I have also cared for the pets of many other people over the years, including farm animals. Friends and family have entrusted me with higher need pets, larger quantities of animals, pets with health problems, and pregnant dogs and cats. I have some basic dog/puppy training experience with my current 4 year old dog. I use positive renforcement and clear tones and boundaries. She is also a high anxiety reactive dog, so I have been learning the body language and how to tell what needs a dog is expressing, and what action to take to meet their needs! On top of all that, my wife works at the exotic pet store Animal Ark Orem and has been there for nearly 5 years. She has knowlege of care for all types of pets and professional training in administering shots to many species (including insulin shots to diabetic animals). If your pet needs specific care like that, with your permission, I'll bring her along to help, and I'll sort out getting her paid myself, so you won't need to worry about that part!
