Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I currently have a flexible schedule while completing my online interior design studies. I’m based in West Vancouver, so I’m able to offer consistent local support for walks, check-ins, companionship, and care throughout the week. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, so walks and visits feel less like an obligation and more like something I look forward to. I’m able to plan my day around a dog’s needs, whether that means regular walks, feeding routines, playtime, quiet companionship, or making sure they feel comfortable while their family is away.

Before caring for a pet, I like to know as much as possible about their normal routine, personality, and needs so I can keep them comfortable and safe. I’d love to know their feeding schedule, walk routine, favourite toys or activities, any medications or health concerns, and whether they have any allergies. I also ask about their temperament around other dogs, children, strangers, cars, bikes, or busy areas. For outdoor activities, I’d want to know whether they are comfortable at dog parks, dog-friendly beaches, or off-leash areas, and whether the owner is comfortable with me taking them there. I always follow the owner’s instructions, local leash rules, and what feels safest for the pet. I’d also want to know their little quirks: what makes them happy, what makes them nervous, how they like to be comforted, and any house rules or routines that help them feel at home while their family is away.
A typical day
I’m happy to take dogs to dog-friendly parks, beach areas, or other outdoor spots with the owner’s permission and only if it suits the dog’s temperament, training, recall, and comfort level. I love giving dogs time to explore, sniff, walk, and enjoy fresh air, but I always prioritize safety, leash rules, and the owner’s routine. For some dogs, a calm neighbourhood walk or quiet beach stroll is much better than a busy off-leash area, so I’ll always follow what works best for each pet.

While I do not have formal professional dog-walking experience, I have spent years helping care for dogs belonging to family and friends, including energetic dogs, senior dogs, small companion dogs, cautious dogs, and strong protective breeds. I have cared for dogs during family events, vacations, camping trips, walks, and everyday visits. My name is Cujo. I am a German Shepherd, and I do not hand out trust easily. I am naturally protective, alert, and very cautious around strangers. In fact, I am known for being very selective about who I allow into my circle. Harjeet was different. Harjeet has a calm, steady, and respectful energy that dogs notice immediately. She did not force my trust, rush me, or act nervously around me. She gave me space, respected my boundaries, and allowed me to feel comfortable on my own terms. Because of that, I understood very quickly that she was safe. Over time, Harjeet earned a level of trust from me that not everyone gets. I allowed her to pet me, spend time with me, and even pet me while I was eating my meals. For a dog like me, that is a very serious endorsement. Harjeet also cared for me for a full week while my family was in Mexico.
