Schedule
I'm a stay-at-home wife, so dogs are already woven into the fabric of my everyday life — I'm home and available throughout the day, not squeezing pet care into a lunch break or the hour after work. Every day, I take my own dogs on a long walk of at least 1.5 miles, so your dog would be included in that same routine rather than getting a rushed, quick trip around the block. Beyond the walk, I build in time throughout the day for feeding, potty breaks, and playtime, and my evenings tend to be calmer — perfect for some quiet downtime or cuddle time before bed. Since I've had dogs for 13 years, this isn't something new I'm adding to my schedule — it's simply how my days already run, whether it's a puppy-energy day or a slower, senior-dog kind of day. Being home full-time means your dog gets consistent attention all day long, not just quick check-ins.
