My schedule is fairly open and flexible while I navigate a career shift and going back to school. For "day-care", the house is 2 stories (the upstairs is typically blocked off to new friends). The house is on a gated, landscaped 1.12-acre lot, with plenty of room for zoomies. Dogs can be inside or outside (if I am home, I will often keep back door open for them to go in/out). I do not typically leave dogs alone, but if applicable, I prefer dogs to be kennel trained. I do have a large kennel in-house that can be used. There is 1 indoor/outdoor cat that lives downstairs (he is a passive, fearful guy) and 3 indoor only cats that live separately upstairs (visiting dogs have potential interaction with 1 cat). Both of my dogs (Ruby and Peter) are sweet, friendly, and welcoming :)

Safety, trust & environment

I’m well-versed in basic dog training (ie. puppy crate training, basic obedience) and am a confident, educated handler. I prioritize positive reinforcement and enriching activities - I always want dogs feel secure. I also have resources for trainer referrals if need. My medical background means your pet is in knowledgeable hands. I’m comfortable administering medications — including injections for dogs and cats — monitoring for health changes and supporting pets with special medical or behavioral needs. PLEASE have your dog up to date on core vaccines: Bordetella, Rabies, DHP (distemper/parvo) - with medical exceptions. I recommend dogs be vaccinated for Leptospirosis and Influenza, but those are not required for your dog to stay with me. PLEASE have your dog on a reliable flea/tick medication (NO OVER THE COUNTER prevention). It is important! Please feel free to ask me questions if you need help :)

Information Hannah S. would like to know about your pet

Please feel free tell me any and every detail about your pet that you feel is relevant to know. For example, what are your pets' unique needs, preferences and current routines? What behaviors can I anticipate? I want their time with me to feel familiar and predictable.

A typical day

I am versatile and capable of all the activities! Does your dog need to stay at home? We can play tug of war, work on basic commands (if applicable), do enrichment puzzles, and more! Does your dog need a long, leisurely "sniff" walk? Let's do it. Does your high energy dog need to play fetch and go on a hike in the same day? Easy. I will tailor the days to best fit the needs of the dog(s). I understand that cats can be very particular. I am well versed in feline care, play, health, and behavior (multi-cat households included).

Hannah was amazing. Very knowledgeable and professional. Hannah took great care of Terra and even took the time to get to know her first and then introduce her to the rest of her squad. Amazing property, I highly recommend Hannah for your pup’s needs, your dog(s) will be greatly taken care of! (:

Hannah was exceptional - very responsive and collaborative, and most important, very caring with our puppy. One can immediately tell she has experience caring for animals, and our puppy had three great days with Hannah - lots of play time, walks, and fun with the dogs in her household. I would not hesitate to book Hannah for any services in the future.

We were so happy that we found Hannah. She was very professional and easy to work with. K9 was happy and we didn’t worry about his medical issues being a problem. I would recommend Hannah to anyone that has a furry family member.

Hannah has demonstrated her capability to care for pets since she was a little girl. For many years she was a pet care volunteer at the Napa County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, and has been responsible for a menagerie of animals in her home, showing sensitivity to the needs of each one. Additionally, Hannah has the ability to charm every animal she meets, even the unfriendly ones. Her work ethic is beyond question. She is honest, reliable, prompt, and dedicated to the task at hand. She exhibits confidence and sincerity with a respectful, quiet demeanor to both humans and animals. Hannah is exceptionally qualified to be your dog sitter or walker.
