Information Hannah S. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or behaviors that I need to be aware of. If they like to try and dart out of open doors / if they’re nervous on the leash around other dogs / if they like to sneak off and dig holes / etc. I also ask that you provide me with a written care guide (notepad/text thread/etc) to ensure I am set up for success and can provide the best care possible.

A typical day

There is a park just up the street from my home that is a lovely little walk around. We can play lots of games in the yard and rest up in our crates.

Pet care experience

Hi! My name is Hannah, and I’ve had dogs in my home for as long as I can remember. Growing up with them and later having several of my own has given me a lot of hands-on experience caring for dogs at every stage of life—from raising puppies to caring for senior companions. I’m comfortable with everyday care like giving oral medications, reinforcing basic manners, and making sure dogs get plenty of rest alongside their play. Whether a dog prefers a good game of fetch or curling up on the couch for naps and scritches, I’m happy to meet them where they’re most comfortable. I work from home full time, which allows me to give visiting dogs consistent supervision and plenty of attention throughout the day. To make sure every dog receives the best care possible, I only accept bookings from one family at a time, so your dog won’t be staying alongside multiple unfamiliar dogs. In my home I have two dogs who will be present and interacting with visiting pups: Cain, my neutered male Border Collie, and Mabel, my intact female Labrador Retriever. Because of this, guest dogs must be friendly and comfortable around other dogs. After an initial warm-up and introduction period, visiting dogs are welcome to relax in the full house and enjoy our securely fenced yard. For safety and comfort, all dogs are fed separately. I do my best to send photos and updates throughout each stay so you can see how your dog is doing. Clients are always welcome to reach out if they’d like an update as well—I’m happy to check in when I can. To help make sure every dog has a safe and comfortable stay, I do have a few basic requirements. Dogs should be friendly with other dogs and people, reasonably house trained, and comfortable resting in a crate as needed. They should also be up to date on flea prevention and generally healthy when they arrive. For safety, I’m not able to host dogs who are known escape artists, fence climbers, or dogs with severe separation anxiety that leads to destructive behavior. To help your dog settle in smoothly, please bring enough food for the duration of the stay, a crate for your dog, and written notes with feeding instructions, schedules, and emergency contact information. A meet-and-greet beforehand is always encouraged so we can make sure everyone—dogs and humans alike—feels comfortable before the stay begins.

We couldn’t be happier with the care Hannah provided for our one-year-old Golden Retriever, Scout! From the moment we arrived, we were immediately welcomed into her home, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Hannah was extremely responsive, providing regular pictures and updates that showed Scout having the best time on her walks and adventures. What truly set Hannah apart was her compassion: when Scout was a bit homesick and refused to eat, Hannah took the time to hand-feed her kibble by kibble to make sure she was taken care of. Scout received so much affection and was treated like family. 10/10 would recommend Hannah to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving pet sitter!

I can’t recommend Hannah enough! She took in my dog Max on short notice and cared for him like he was her own. Max is an older dog with his own quirks, but Hannah was patient, attentive, and made sure he was comfortable the whole time. It gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I would absolutely trust her to watch him again!

Hannah's level of caring and understanding immeasurable. She is willing to hear out and follow even the most outlandish requests for pet care asked of her, there is no one I would trust more with the safety of my pets than her as I know they are in the best hands and I will be informed at every step of the process in the event something were to come up!
