When I’m in your home I treat the space with respect. I bring everything I will need for my stay and often leave it cleaner than I found it. I start every sit by relaxing with your pets so that they feel at ease. Watching shows or reading together to keep things calm, and lots of cuddles / brushing dependent on what they like. I then engage in activities, again dependent on their needs. If your dog is younger (or likes to think they are!) then there will be lots of playtime and walks!
Information Hannah M. would like to know about your pet
The amount of exercise they need. Their anxiety levels with other dogs / humans / new spaces. Their toilet habits. And their food and water intake.
A typical day
Depending on your animals needs I could take them on long walks, short walks, hikes, days out, stimulating games, or simply lap cuddles. Let me know what works best for your furry friend.

Friendly animal-loving house sitter
Pet care experience
Hi everyone! My name is Hannah, I’ve been a trusted house and pet sitter for over 20 years. For a long time I cared for animals alongside different careers. Corporate roles that sharpened my attention to detail, and hands-on careers like being a gardener that taught me patience. My love for animal care stood the test of time, so two years ago I made this my full time job, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m fully insured and have multiple police checks from living in New Zealand and Canada. I connect deeply with animals and care for them as though they were my own. I have the utmost respect for your home and will leave it clean and tidy, often better than I found it. Some experience over the years includes hand rearing rescue kittens, fostering retired guide dogs, caring for many dogs with anxiety and training our personal dogs to an expert level. I have experience taking care of elderly dogs with disabilities, including blindness, incontinence, hard of hearing and three-legged dogs. I’ve also cared for tropical fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, poultry and horses. I can confidently administer medication and can handle emergency situations with a calm aptitude. Lastly I have experience raising and training puppies, lead training and potty training are my specialities. I communicate clearly and as often as makes you feel comfortable. I know how to take initiative but I will always ask you about the important things, and I can handle almost anything unexpected. I’m a home-maker at heart so will pay attention to details like bringing in packages, watering plants, vacuuming pet hair and can often help with additional requests too. Some clients have asked me to pick up groceries, organise their cupboards and other duties too. My focus is for you to feel at ease while away, and for your animal to feel like they’re having their own holiday with me. Let’s organise a meet & greet at your home to make sure everyone feels comfortable before booking. Thank you for reading and I hope to be the sitter for your home and animals :)

Reviews

Anxious Annie has a new friend! Hannah was lovely, caring and kind. Annie hardly seemed to know we had gone!

What a wonderful find Hannah was A lovely warm person who looked after my dog with such care and attention She obviously has great care and warm for our fluffy friends and I would highly recommend her

Hannah is brilliant! This was the first time we left our pup with someone she doesn't really know, so we were a bit anxious but didn't need to be at all. Hannah is absolutely fab, sending updates and pics whilst we were away. Our pup Willow loved her straight away. Eating all her food (which is the first thing to stop when she is unsettled) and settling down on the sofa next to Hannah straight away. Hannah is a very caring person and the dogs can definitely tell. She used her initiative to make sure Willow was as comfortable as could be and played lots of toys with her. Will definitely be booking Hannah again.

Hannah did a fantastic job looking after our Westie, including his twice daily insulin injections. She gave us regular photos and updates. We could see how much he had taken to her. Our home was well looking after and was very clean and tidy when we returned. We would highly recommend Hannah. Thanks for doing such a great job.
