Pet care experience

Loves dogs and cats + snuggles!

I'm thrilled to introduce myself as your dedicated dog and cat sitter, ready to shower your furry companions with love, care, and attention. 💛 With a rich history of nurturing pets in locales like Portland, Oregon; the Bay Area; Washington D.C.; and Santa Monica, California, I bring a wealth of experience to the table. My journey in pet care began in Portland, where I first discovered my passion for fostering meaningful connections with animals. Whether it was leisurely strolls through lush parks or cozy cuddle sessions at home, I quickly learned the importance of tailoring my approach to suit each pet's unique personality and needs. Venturing southward to the vibrant Bay Area. From energetic pups craving adventurous hikes to sophisticated felines who preferred lounging in sun-drenched windowsills, I embraced the diversity of pet preferences with enthusiasm and dedication. In the heart of the nation's capital, Washington D.C., I expanded my repertoire, catering to the discerning tastes of both cosmopolitan canines and elegant felines. Amidst the historic landmarks and bustling streets, I cultivated a deep understanding of urban pet care, navigating busy schedules and bustling city life. Finally, my journey led me to Santa Monica, where I continue to provide care with intentionality for beloved pets. Against the backdrop of sandy beaches and ocean breezes, I have cherished every moment spent bonding with furry companions, enriching their lives with joy and affection. Now, armed with a diverse array of experiences and a genuine passion for animal welfare, I stand ready to embark on a new adventure as your trusted dog and cat sitter. Whether it's a weekend getaway or an extended vacation, you can book with confidence that your cherished pets will be in capable hands, receiving the love, attention, and care they deserve.

Hannah was an amazing Pet Sitter and house Sitter. This was the best experience I’ve had on Rover. Hannah sent me several pictures throughout the day letting me know how my pups were doing. We truly appreciate how well informed she kept us as one of our dogs is very anxious and she seemed to do very well with her. Also, our house was spotless when we returned and an extra bonus was she made us cookies. Amazing! Highly recommend.

Hannah has gone above and beyond every time she has watched my pup. My goldendoodle adores adventures and Hannah has taken her for all of her favorites - the beach, car rides, play dates with similar temperament dogs, etc. Hannah has been the only Rover that leaves my pup literally smiling after I pick her up. Hannah is extremely communicative, accommodating, and sends frequent updates and photos. Both my pup and I are so grateful to have found Hannah; I can’t recommend her more highly!

Hannah was great! From the start, it was clear she was experienced at taking care of animals and would treat my dog like her own. She sent daily pictures and videos, and my dog always seemed super happy and active. I’d happily book with her again.

Hannah stayed at our home to puppy sit Bagel while we were away and was wonderful. She maintained our training schedule and respected our home. She’s the best!

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I typically wake up around 6:30am and make breakfast for both myself and any furry guests in my home. I then go for a brisk walk around 7:00am outside to start the day with fresh air and take a pup on a walk if I have a guest boarding with me. I will then spend most of the day at home with a couple breaks for walks and getting some fresh air or play time in for myself and any pets under my care. On the weekends, I enjoy going to parks and sometimes the beach for a change of scenery and also to provide a space for the current dog that I am sitting to run and play in wide open spaces. I typically get ready for bed and snuggles with furry friends sometime between 10:00pm-11:00pm and go outside for one more walk before turning in for the night.

Safety, trust & environment

I organize my space and do safety checks to make sure there are not any materials that may be hazardous to animals, including groceries, house plants, cleaning supplies, and electrical chords. I keep a tidy environment both in my home and do so as well while I am a guest in others' homes. Depending on the pet's needs, I will also research safe walking trails and environments for pets to go on walks with me. Prior to caring for pets, I aways conduct a meet and greet or informational call to better understand the care needs of cat or dog whom I will be caring for during the booking. I also ask the pet parent how I can make their furry friend feel more at home with me and then I organize my space accordingly (putting bird sounds on the television, placing a dog bed under a dining table, putting away stressful triggers like vacuum cleaners, etc.).

A typical day

Here are some fun activities that I may do with your pets depending on their needs and interests :) ******DOGS/PUPPIES******* Outdoor Adventures: Take them for a hike in a nearby park or nature reserve. Play Fetch: Head to a spacious area and engage in a game of fetch with their favorite toy. Doggy Playdates: Arrange meet-ups with other friendly dogs for socialization and playtime. Agility Training: Set up a mini obstacle course in your backyard or a nearby dog park for some stimulating agility exercises. Swimming: If they enjoy water, take them for a swim at a dog-friendly beach or pool. Tug-of-War: Have a tug-of-war session with a sturdy rope toy, providing both mental and physical stimulation. Dog-Friendly Cafes: Visit dog-friendly cafes or restaurants where they can accompany you for a meal or a snack. Training Sessions: Work on obedience training or teach them new tricks using positive reinforcement methods. Scent Games: Hide treats around the house or yard for them to sniff out, engaging their natural scenting instincts. Pampering Time: Give them a relaxing massage or grooming session to bond and keep them looking and feeling their best. *****CATS/KITTENS***** Interactive Toys: Engage them with interactive toys like feather wands, laser pointers, or puzzle feeders to stimulate their minds and bodies. Window Watching: Set up a cozy perch by a window so they can watch birds, squirrels, and other outdoor activities. Catnip Playtime: Offer them catnip-infused toys or fresh catnip for a playful and euphoric experience. Paper Bag or Box Fun: Cats often love playing with paper bags or cardboard boxes, providing hours of entertainment. Hide-and-Seek: Hide treats or toys around the house for them to discover, encouraging their natural hunting instincts. Climbing and Scratching: Provide them with a cat tree or scratching post to climb and scratch, satisfying their need for vertical space and grooming. Sunbathing: Set up a sunny spot for them to bask in the warmth of the sun, a favorite pastime for many cats. Cat Tunnels: Invest in collapsible tunnels for them to explore and play hide-and-seek in. Feather Chase: Dangle a feather wand or string for them to chase and pounce on, mimicking natural hunting behavior. Cuddling Time: Spend quiet, quality time cuddling and bonding with them, providing comfort and affection.
